    To whomever is sending to me: First and foremost, sorry for the essay. My first two go-to "drinking" beers at a bar/brewery will typically be Pilsners (especially noble hoppier ones that are good, in the vain of Suarez Palatine/Qualify, Oxbow Luppolo, Hill Farmstead Mary/Poetica, FW Pivo, etc.), saisons (ideally these will be mixed-ferm or perhaps barrel-fermented/aged, possibly with a touch of acidity, but not "sour" by any means," then pale ales or IPAs (NE or West Coast, as long as they are fresh and well-made, though I would lean towards NE-style).

    As far as more "special/cellarable" beers, I like spontaneously-fermented beers, be they Lambic/Gueuze or not. Anything that is coolshipped is exciting for me to try. I'm also very into big malty beers like imperial stouts and barleywines, especially when barrel-aged. Love a good pastry stout, old ale, eisbock, etc. Favourite barrels would probably be Bourbon, Scotch, Port, and sherry for these kinds of beers.

    Not into ripping-sour beers (like many Crooked Stave & Cascade beers, for example). I will enjoy most beers that are well-made. I'm also into random weirdo beers that have ingredients that might make you wonder if it will be good or horrible, or beers that just seem fun. Not opposed to stuff like milkshake IPAs or pastry stouts, etc.

    I do like wine as well, so beers that incorporate wine or grapeskins/must are more than welcome.

    LIKES: Stouts, IPAs, Smoked Beers, Barleywines, Barrel-aged beers, Pumpkin Beers. I'm open to most styles of beers...except for sours that are very acidic and are painful to drink.
