My main focus is ABV these days, so I like beers that I can drink 1 or 2 of on a week night. 6% or lower are ideal, although I do like to occasionally open a nice big 10%+ BA stout. I like lambic, IPA's, witbiers, saisons....really anything that you think is tasty and worth trying is perfect for me.

Some of my favourites that I love but can almost never get are Allagash White (or anything Allagash really), BA Plead the Fifth by Dark Horse, IXPL Des Praires by Maltstrom, anything by Hopfenstark, DDC BA Péché Mortel, anything Barncat (BA Rat Queen w/ Vanilla is something I'm searching for right now), Small Pony Barrel works sours. The list goes on...

I dig well made beers of almost any style. Not big on extremes - ie enamel stripping sour or diabetes causing sweet.

If there’s a well made marzen from one of your local breweries, I want that. Please.

    To my sender:

I am a ticking geek and would rather have something new I haven't tried. I also like ciders and meads so go nuts. My list of what I have had are on RB by the same name. Good luck and thanks ahead of time.

For me.. it's really simple. I like Barreled aged Stouts, Fruited Sours and Barleywine in order. I doesn't like IPA in generals. You can find my beer history on untappd https://untappd.com/user/remsad

    Cheers!

    Bonjour,

To the person that got me, you will notice that my beer count on Untappd is quite high. As a teacher, I travel a lot for craft beer during my holidays. My Untappd username is Sebado (Sébastien Bertrand). I enjoy trying new beers...I'm a proud ticker!

*It's the season for Pumpkin beers and I enjoy them. I would appreciate receiving pumpkin beers from your area.

LIKES: Stouts, IPAs, Pumpkin Beers, Smoked Beers, Barleywines, Dubbels, Tripels, Quads, Barrel-aged beers especially in bourbon! Wild funky beers, lambics, Flanders Reds are good too.

DISLIKES: Sours tend to be painful to drink. I can't do pepper beers (jalapenos, chillies). Saison and Weizen are not my favourites.

For the person that I'll be sending beers to, I have visited your city in 1993 and 1995. My brother lived there. This will be the furthest place that I will send beer.

    Merci!

To my sender, I enjoy good beer. I enjoy most styles, though I have yet to find a milkshake IPA or black IPA that I have truly enjoyed. Everything from lagers, saisons, etc. through sours, hazys and on to stouts. They are up all my alley. I like trying new things but very much appreciate well done old favorites. Basically I am pretty easy to please
    Cheers and thanks!

To my sender. I like full-bodied and high ABV beers. Every season is good for a good stout

The order of my likes would be BA stouts/porters, Barleywines (and all the similar like Scotch Ales, etc), Pastry stouts, Double or Tripple IPAs, Quads, Milkshake or Fruit IPAs.

No real dislikes but I am less passionate about Saisons and Farmhouses or low ABV (<6-7) beers.

To the people I am sending too. Apologies, first of all I will do my best not to send to the far east products you do not like. With the crisis and seasonality of products, I can't guarantee anything. I will add some nuggets of goodness from my cellar, but otherwise you will get what is available.

    Cheers and keep well.

To my sender, I am pretty easy to please. Definitely enjoy trying new beers from any brewery, but I'm probably a fan boy for hyped up breweries. There isn't too much that I don't like, but super sour stuff is not what I'm after. It would also be nice if my parcel was not entirely made up of hops/drink as fresh as possible items as I find myself drinking beer a little less frequently these days.

Thank you in advance, I'm sure I will love whatever you curate for me. The anticipation of receiving a box and opening it is what keeps me coming back...haha.

    Cheers fellas!

    Thanks again @Electros !

To my sender... first off, thank you for the time and effort trying to please a grump like me.

Likes: German & Czech style lagers (of any kind), farmhouse/saison, bitter and clear IPAs, British bitters, sours/very sours, gose, barleywine, and anything barrel-aged that isn't too sweet.

Dislikes: Hazy ales and IPAs. Milkshake anything. Pastry anything. Sweet beer. Kettle sours.

    Thank you and be well!

    To my sender:

Echoing a lot of what @darcyk said, I too am big on German/Czech-style lagers (and Italian-style pils, as well), plus farmhouse/saison/grisette type stuff (clean or mixed-ferm) and nice hoppy Belgian-style ales in general. Also lower-ABV malty British beers such as mild, bitter, etc.

I also like big malty beers (imperial stout, eisbock, barleywine, quads, etc). Adjuncts welcome, and all levels of residual sugars welcome. Barrel-aged is also great.

I will always take a recommendation that someone thinks is a really solid beer. I also like weirdo beers with odd ingredients, like hot peppers, herbs, mushrooms, whatever. I don't typically buy pumpkin beer, but if you think it's really good, then I'll try it out.

I'm not a big fan of "sour" beers. If it calls itself sour, I probably won't enjoy it. I do like spontaneously-fermented beers though, as they are often more integrated.

I'm also very into wine, and casually into cider, so anything adjacent to these could be cool.

    Thanks for humouring me!

Two my target you'll be getting from where you least expect but will happily enjoy... might be late because of circumstances revealed later. Mysterious eh!

    To my target,

I have been near your city but did not stop as I was heading to a city nearby with a distillery.

I have already started to buy you some local beers, am awaiting upcoming releases, and awaiting your wish list which I will try very hard to make come true!

    To my Santa Claus

I could list many big beers I would like to get but I will keep it simple.

I am a big fan of stouts and porters (imperial, barrel-aged, etc.): the darker, the thicker, the better!

IPAs are also welcome as are any other styles. You can also throw in ice ciders and meads.

I am not a big fan of sours that require a bottle of Pepto Bismol as a shooter.

I would appreciate receiving beers from your areas that are not that accessible in the Gatineau/Ottawa area. You should receive via Electros an Excel spreadsheet of the beers I have had (I am trying to make your life easier as I find it is easier to go through a spreadsheet than through a website).

I am GRM on RateBeer and Barbu on untappd.

To my first target, you will be a good challenge but I'Ve got you covered, I have a deep cellar

You'r living near a US states where I would like to go on day. So many Dark beers in the same area.
Your province is having a lot of good breweries that I would try again and again someday!

    Cheers
