This bender of bad puns is starting to be abrasive on my patience. Lets stop now before this becomes another bad joke Hell.

So when do we start sending stuff. May Syx, SeVIIn? These posts have Wet my appetite.

I'm curious to join, but I feel as though I don't have much in the way of cool beer to offer. Also, I've never done anything like this before or even a trade. How much am I looking at spending in the way of shipping/packaging etc?

This isn't meant to be a rare beer trade, but rather shelf locals that your recipient won't have access to.

I posted some links to the last few BIFs where you can see what was sent - probably looking at around 8 bombers in amount or thereabouts.

You should look to getting a styrofoam shipper. There is also a link posted on how to get. This is the best way to ship and the way I would recommend especially given you haven't shipped before.

In terms of costs, depends of course on where you are sending but for me it is usually around $20-$25 from BC to QC.

Would it make sense to have a separate thread for beers available locally on the shelf from other provinces, or just include in the hints and hauls once that gets going?

For instance in BC we now have lots of: Dieu Du Ciel, Trou Du Diable and soon to be Trois Mousquetaires on shevles. Even Hopfenstark Saisons are available just south of here in Bellingham. We don't get any of the Barrel Aged beers yet that I know of.

I'm in a similar situation and threw my hat into the mix. Never done anything like this before, don't have a very impressive cellar and to top it off, am pretty new to the site.

My hope is that a box full of beers only available at the brewery will be welcomed enough to make my participation successful. Looking forward to this, and started buying yesterday.

    Cheers

Great to see some new faces throwing hats into the ring. The CANBIF is a great introduction to trading and beers from elsewhere in Canada, and a lot of fun to boot. Welcome!

Im going in for the first time too. Yes, it would be very helpful to know what quebec beers are easily available in Ontario or wherever my target lives

Yes, think this would be a good idea. As Jonny notes in BC we now get Trou Du Diable, Dieu Du Ciel and soon Trois Mousquetaires.

For TDD we get the following:
    Shawinigan Handshake
    La Saison Tracteur
    La Morsure
    Punkrauch
    L Impeeratrice
    Dulcis Succubus

For DDC we get the following:
    Peche Mortel
    Aphrosdisiaque
    Solstice D Hiver
    Rosee D Hibiscus

Not sure what we will get for Trois Mousquetaires but likely the Baltic Porter.

Great! Send Phil and I your details and we will get you added. That should bring us up to 33 boxes. Could use at least 1 more person to even things out.

Do they barrel age it - thought there was just the one variety (which I thought wasn't barrel aged).
