    This is great advice. I would also like to add that I know some people are more active on Rate Beer than on BA and if you have a list of beers that you have reviewed on RB, posting a link to your user name on RB can also be a big help.

    But at a minimum, updating your "wants" is a great start. Remember that in most cases you are receiving a box from a person that doesn't know you at all, so the more detailed we can all be in the hints & hauls thread, the better!

    so shipping question! have my styroshipper and its on the way to being filled. what is the standard way people ship? canada post im assuming? any level of service better then others for this? expresspost? guessing insurance isnt needed.. do most people ship signature required?

    No insurance as shipping alcohol is not legal.

    I would say the defeault is no signature required as it creates more hastle for the target. However, there are a few who do like a signature (e.g., @TheSevenDuffs), but these oddities will usually post that they want a signature in the hints and hauls thread :wink:.

    I'm trying to print a shipping label through Canada Post but I don't have a scale at home. Anyone have an idea what a full 12 bottle styro shipper should weigh? Can't imagine mine would weigh any different.

    I usually just take the box to a Canada post when it is ready to rock, get the weight, and the come home and print a label for Canada post through pay pal.

    I have a bomber of Driftwood Singularity that is trying to find it's way into the 12 slot styro shipper I am putting together with some of my BC and Washington favs!
