I will start sending the pairing later tonight and tomorrow. I have tried my best to avoid past pairing from the last two CANBIFs and all the special requests. I suggest we post the hints and hauls in the current thread.

    HINTS AND HAULS starts... NOW!

    To my sender:

I love anything interesting. I am a hop head, as well as a malt lover. If you like it, I would too. The only thing I am not a fan of is sours. Brews that are new, or will never come to Ontario is welcomed!

To whom I am sending to:

At first glance I paused and looked left. I then looked right. Back and forth, left to right feeling confused and dizzy. It is a good thing I was well stocked for this round!

I love hops. That is, and always has been, my main go to style. I'm a big fan of sours as well and often find the big boozy stouts are wasted on me as we don't generally get along. My fiancée, who will be helping me with this, since she's developed quite an interest recently ... she wouldn't say no to a good coffee beer.

    To my target:
I can definitely can hit a want or two of yours at first glance. I will also be putting together a good local offering supplemented by some fun US beers that I know your market doesn't easily get a hold of.

    To my sender:

I am easy to please - I love trying new beers and most of what I've had is either rated or reviewed here on BA. Anything local, different, or new to me will be most welcome!

    To my target:

At first glance, I think we are a very good match because we have quite similar thoughts about the beers we have rated or reviewed. The things I have lined up should all be new to you.

    To my sender:

If you have access to Quebec made Scotch Ales (non smoked) I've been craving them, a lot! If not, well no worries as I like pretty much any style of beer. I have a cellar full of beers that age well, always happy to replenish it and I have a fridge full of IPA's, but I'm a bit low on saisons and other interesting beers. Would love some stuff that doesn't make it far out of province or state. My untappd is https://untappd.com/user/wcbeergeek

    To my target:

You don't seem to like what must be my favourite style of beer, which is cool because that leaves more for me. You are likely getting a box full of single cans, as many as I can safely jam in a shipper. Aiming for stuff that doesn't really distribute very far and lots of variety!

    To my sender:

I am both very easy and very difficult at the same time. I like most styles, but try to stay away from lagers and light beers. Everything else is fair game, but as a ticker I prefer things I haven't tried before or have small distribution. Unfortunately I drink quite a bit and finding beers I haven't had can be a bit of a challenge. I have an up to date log on RB going under the same name.

    To my target:

You will likely get hit hard with a mountain of local cans very shortly. I am travelling soon and will not be able to tailor this too much unless you post soon, and you have not posted much or having relevant info on your profile. You are east of me and I have lived in your city for a few years while teaching at the local college, not your local university.

I'm good with whatever you send. However, if I was pushed I would say saisons (especially Brett), juicy IPAs, and BA or fruited sours are my preferred styles. Been on Untappd for about 6 months under the same userid so there is some information there and have a relatively up to date 'Hads' and 'Gots' on my BA profile. Looking forward to your box!

    To my target:
I am working on limited information regarding your preferences. Hoping you post soon or I might make some broad sweeping assumptions about the type of beer you like. Although I'm sure I can get you beers I know you most likely would not have access I would like to do better than that!

    Dear Sender,

I am sure you are an amazing human who will read this. I love beer. Wanna hit me up with a top notch Pilsner? Go for it. Got some quads? Heeeeck yeeeeesss. I don't diss on styles. My untappd is in my profile, so peep that for what I've had. I have to update a couple things in the next few days. Current favorites: Barleywines, ESB.

    Dear Target:

Limited knowledge right now, but you seem to access to some wild stuff. I'lll hit you with some low-hype, high quality local things, and a smattering of odds and ends from the cellar. Nice country out there.

I give fewer and fewer hints every CANBIF and the boxes keep getting better and better. My favorite BIF beers inevitably end up being things I never would have thought about hinting towards, so this time, no hints at all. Put together a cool box you would like to recieve and guaranteed I'll dig it too! Asking for a signature on delivery would be awesome (sketchy neighbours, am I right?) Cheers!

    To my target:
You are west of me in a province I visit quite regularily. I have more Untappd check ins than you, but you drink much better beers than the plonk I usually swill. Most of the big US beers I've been stashing alway for this CANBIF, you've already had, so your box will be mostly local, non-distro beers. That said, I think I can put together a box you will like and scatch some of your itches!

I'm pretty open to all styles.. IPAs, stouts, and stuff thats been in a barrel probably the faves. Im always wanting to try new beers so if you've got something good I havent had, send it along! My hads/wants is upto date on here, but that being said the wants is mainly stuff from the top 100 list so dont worry too much.

    To target:
awaiting more information! I've been working on reducing the size of my cellar, so you may get some bottles with some age on them, depending what you list in your preferences!

To my sender: I consider myself fairly easy to please - similar preferences to many others in my love for juicy IPAs, anything wild, sour and/or barrel aged - my boozy stout shelf has also been depleted over the winter. I'm on Untappd with the same user ID, which will give you an even better idea of what I'm into.

To my target: You appear to be a ticker and have certainly tried a lot, but my early research shows that you have not had too much from my neck of the woods. It seems that I will not have an issue filling a box for you with some top local picks and a few things from the cellar.

To my sender: I love well made beer. Saisons, sours, barrel aged monstrosities, ipa's of all stripes, well made lagers, basically everything except for Irish reds... those are gross. If you dig a beer I will probably also dig that beer. I am thebeerhobo on untappd.

To my target: You live west of me. A friend of mine is the cellarman at a beer bar that is less than 30 mins drive from your home. I have never been to your city but I have driven by.

Dear Sender: Check my profile, I'm on untappd. My cellar is stocked with beer I feel like I will never drink. I'm a hoarder it seems, so fresh ipa's will be downed first, along with sours. Small format preferred, but will glad enjoy any large bottles that are top notch stuff!

To my dearest target: You will enjoy a nice big box of beer! I got you.

To my sender: I'm quite easy going, but if I had to play favorites, I would suggest sours, barrel aged beers, and fresh and juicy IPAs. My least favorite styles would have to be quads or barley wines, though I still enjoy the odd one of each every now and again. I keep track of all the beers I've tried on untappd and my user name is the same - msjpearson . I don't mind repeats of beers I have tried and enjoyed, so don't feel the need to feel a box of all unique brews. I really enjoy getting together with old friends.

To my target - speaking of friends, I see that you are a friend of a friend and you live west of me. Hopefully you give me some help in this thread soon, as you seem like someone with discerning tastes! Though I think (hope) I am up for the challenge!

@JonnyBeers on Untappd. Biggest wants would be Half Hours on Earth and Auval, if you so happen to be in those parts.

I'll be sending a fully loaded can bomb of only local, mostly if not all un-distro'd to the rest of Canada, beers.

I'd actually request the same from my sender. No fancy Phil Harmstead beverages needed. I'll drink anything, but the only thing I might drainpour are Rauchbiers. Fav style would have to be Farmhouse/Wild Ales.

Helpful hint: in BC we now get many DDC, Dunham, LTDD, LTM, Le Castor, Burdock, Beaus, Steamwhistle, Glutenberg, lol.

To my sender. First off, thank you for your time, attention and generosity. None of that should ever be taken for granted.

I'm a fussy pain in the ass, and am told (by several people) that I complain about everything. Do not worry about pleasing me. Not a fan of lagers, Kolsch, Alt, Dunkel, or anything sticky sweet. Whatever you send, it will be enjoyed by me or at a bottleshare, so thank you.
