I am excited that this is finally getting under way and hopefully it gets a little livelier around here as a result.

To whoever draws me:


I am pretty easy going. If it is well-made and tasty I will like it. There aren't any styles I dislike per se, but I would most like getting a wide variety of styles of random local beers that I haven't had before.

• My reviews here on BA are a fairly good indicator of things I have had.
• My "Gots" list is of all of the Canadian (non-Quebec) beers I have ever had. Lucky for you, it is a pretty short list and I am eager to try local stuff from beyond the borders of the Belle Province.
  
• Sours, fruit-heavy stuff, and super-boozy/pastry stouts are perfectly alright to send but I'd prefer they be in the minority if at all possible.
• I love stickers for the ol' beer fridge, glasses, Large t-shirts, any weird local food/snacks, nothing at all, nothing at all, nothing at all..., or even just more beer.
  
• How's that for open-ended?? I said I was easy to please.

I like anything well made and love trying new things. That said, also super happy to revisit old classics. Would be very happy to get a box of things you love you drink and are fairly unique to where you live. Some of my favourite things these days are funky but not crushingly sour. If I had to pick a least favourite area, probably anything super sweet/unbalanced in that direction.

Long time lurker here, this thread actually motivated me to sign up for a Beer Advocate account.

I’m not too picky in terms of beer styles but I’d definitely say that I am drawn to fresh hops and big stouts (pastry/RIS/barrel aged/etc.) Brett beers are often a hit or miss for me and are not something that I typically seek out.

Seeing how this is my introduction to a BIF, I’d be more than happy to receive some local variety that you enjoy. Willing to try anything, and often find myself chasing hype as I continue to discover the craft beer universe. New ticks are always fun, but there’s nothing wrong with revisiting classics.

I currently live in New Brunswick and have explored much of its beer scene and Nova Scotia’s. However, my exposure to other parts of the Canadian craft scene is somewhat limited.

Definitely looking forward to the whole experience!

To my sender - I am easy to please. Much of what I’ve sampled is on BA, but I’ve been invisible for the past few months. I love beer. Period.

My preferences are on a dark and malty side: Imperial Stouts, Imperial Porters, Barleywines, Scotch Ales, Quads. If they are strong and barrel aged it is perfect. Don't mind any addons like pastry Stouts, peanut Stouts, coffee Porters, etc. The second step is IPAs ideally Imp/Double/Triple but a good IPA is always a good IPA. Not really in Farmhouses, Wild Ales, Belgian Ales but indeed no real dislikes always open trying a new interesting beer.
A core of my collection are BA Stouts so most likely there will be at least half of them in my parcel.

I like anything Barrel aged. If you can find BA stout release, you will be my new best friend. I knew good people there and I'm always impressed by new beer as well!

I dislike anything with the word "IPA" or "pilsner". I tried so many times to like them but I can't.

Like you can see, I'm speaking french and "J'en suis très fière".

I travel a lot in US to make trade there... I will have interesting release to send

I will drink most anything, but I don’t enjoy quads, barley wines, wheat ales, or scotch ales.

I love a well made saison, or a nice clean Pilsner or kolsch. Love IPA’s, stouts, and sours, though not a fan of overly acidic sours. Also really big on cider as well, as long as they are on the dryer side.
