    To my sender:

I am not terribly picky, and do not use any sites to tracks the beers I drink. I love new beers, but happily revisit old favorites again (and again)

These days I am mainly into IPAs (except milkshake), clean and crisp lagers, pilsner, saisons and some sours. If its well made and you like it, chances are I will too. I have been known to dabble in big stouts now and again but there are many in the cellar, but if there's one you believe is a must try, send it!

My dislikes: milkshake ipas, smoked beers, overly sour beers, red ales, hefeweizens, and most wheat beers

    To my sender.

I am really down for anything well made. My favourites are nice IPAs and stouts but I am not too picky. My least favourite beers right now are the overly sweet pastry stouts. Other than that, if you like it, I am sure I will.

    Bonjour,

To the person that got me, you will notice that my beer count on Untappd is quite high. As a teacher, I travel a lot for craft beer during my holidays. My Untappd username is Sebado (Sébastien Bertrand). I enjoy trying new beers...I'm a proud ticker!

    https://untappd.com/user/Sebado

LIKES: Stouts, IPAs, Pumpkin Beers, Smoked Beers, Barleywines, Dubbels, Tripels, Quads, Barrel-aged beers especially in bourbon! Wild funky beers, lambics, Flanders Reds are good too.

DISLIKES: Sours tend to be painful to drink. I can't do hot pepper beers (jalapenos, chilies).

For the person that I'll be sending beers to, I have received beers from you before but I haven't had the pleasure of sending you beers.

    Merci!

I didn't receive any messages about my target... not that I can see, anyway. Resend if you don't mind?

My "hads" are sadly not up to date on here, but my Untappd is up to date at https://untappd.com/user/curtismoncton/beers .

I'm quite easy to please, I just want to try whatever you think are great local beers that I can't get here. Really appreciate anything in the top 100 I haven't tried, but don't worry too much about that.

My least favorite styles are hazy IPA, herb/spiced beers, fruit or pumpkin, and farmhouse/sour/wild but I try to have an open mind. Classic styles like ESB, porter, pilsner are always appreciated.

Two boxes went out today to two BAs that I've never sent to and are recently returning participants.

19 different brews, that run the gambit of style diversity including one extra brew in each box that is contract brewed and unavailable for take away that is quite good.

Each box I've hit style likes and rest assured I've tried all of them & they're all great!

All are local from 9 different breweries and all are very fresh!

Hey everyone, I’m excited to participate in my first CANBIF. I’m so new that I have no idea what CANBIF even stands for.

My apparel brand is called Hob Bomb Apparel Co. so I’m definitely a Hop-Head! I love big NEIPAs, but I do miss a great West Coast IPA or DIPA (so hard to find now). Would love to see a few of those. I do also really enjoy stouts, porters, browns. There is also nothing wrong with a well made lager. Not as high on the list but I do enjoy pastry stouts, a great Belgian and even some sour IPAs. I’m also open to any well-made beers that you feel I NEED to try.

What I would rather NOT have are low ABV hazy IPAs, hazy pale ales or even session IPAs. Although I enjoy stouts, I really don’t like barrel aged stouts. I also do not like rauchbiers (smokey).

To my senders, thank you for all the time and effort, and of course, beer.

    My favourite styles are:
    - Crisp, clean, dry, hoppy lagers
    - German lager family - Marzen, Helles, Kolsch, altbier, rauchbier. Nothing too boozy or sweet, please
    - clean, bright, dry, bitter - pale ales & IPAs. I love the "westie" style.
    - Hill Farmstead & The Alchemist - anything on-par, quality wise
    - proper British style ales/bitters, as well as barleywine and old ales
    - classic lambic-style sours

    I absolutely hate drinking:
    - anything hazy  (yes, I'm "that guy" who has hated hazies from day 1)
    - anything with lactose or overly sweet (e.g. smoothies, milkshake, pastries)
    - sours that taste like vinegar
    - overly Belgiany saisons (e.g. intense cloves, medicinal notes)

I'm on Untappd, but do not stress whether it's a "unique" - you'll drive yourself crazy, as I've had a few

    Hey Sender!

I am pretty easy, I like variety. I love big stouts/barleywine, including adjuncts or having spent time in a barrel. I love a continental style lager (czech/german). I love British beer. I love IPA (all kinds). I love lambic, and I love the whole range of trad belgian ale. I would love to try your homebrew (if you are proud of it). Cider, wine and mead are cool if you are wanting to share something cool.

I don't love any beer you would define first as a sour beer (I don't want to drink anything that is difficult to drink, a balanced mixed ferm saision is great, jellyking is not really my thing). I don't love Irish red ale (mostly, though Kilkenny is fine. Please don't send me kilkenny).

No rule is set in stone, send me anything you think is cool and I will be happy.

I love brewery stickers. I love glasswear. My shirt size is XL. My untappd is Thebeerhobo. I will definitely drink a thing I like over and over and over again.

    To my target:

You are west of me (and also east of me... but much further away).

You live in the same town as my cousin Kim and her family (do you know them?).

    To my sender....

I am a huge malt fan....love the big bombs (Scotch Ales, Imperial Reds, Imperial Browns), and Big Stouts (Russian Imperial, Milk Stout, Flavored....love PB & chocolate offerings). I am always willing to try Experimentals, Collabs, and really anything else too.... Belgian, English craft brews and maybe something from Germany that we don't see would be a cool addition (for my wife

For the few exceptions....Please don't send big hoppy IPA's (I like flavors other than nothing but hop), and NO sours please....and that's really about it!

    To my target....

I am a few provinces to the West of you, and cheer on the best hockey team this country produces lol....

Getting the box all packed up for my target. He's been silent so far on this thread, but not to fear I had sent him a box many moons ago (but to a different province - hint 1) hopefully his tastes have not change too much.

Hint 2: Hopefully he got his car looked at after the last box.

Hint 3: I wonder if people still think he's from Halifax?

To my sender: I like beer. Preferably good beer. Please send me things you would appreciate getting yourself, unless of course you only like light macro lagers. If the later is the case, just instead send a detailed letter about why you kinda suck and should not have participated!

To my target: You are well west of me. Your city apparently means something about a rich world but only half in English, half in misspelt French.

A very generous box from Electros landed here yesterday! I had sinking feeling in my chest when I went to pick up the box at the post office and saw it was wrapped in the “I’m sorry we broke it” bag, but it turned out everything actually arrived safe and sound, although the box was a little worse for wear!

A huge haul of beers that are not only new to me, but I don’t believe I’ve had much, if anything, from any of these breweries before!

So a big thanks for not only an amazing box, but also for taking on organizing the exchange again. Cheers!!

I've wrangled up all the beer I'll be sending off early this week to the city that Neil Young was born in.
