I picked up the last two beers for my box going west. All are direct from small Ontario breweries. I am absolutely sure my target will be thrilled. Unfortunately I will be stuck at work doing OT for a while so these delicious offering won't be sent out by CP close to two weekends from now but will be worth the wait! Cheers all! Hint 3/4: "amiskwacîwâskahikan"/ 'beaver hills house'.
Hey, I"m relatively easy to buy for. New stuff is good - I haven't been outside BC domestically much in the past few months. I'm losing interest in stuff like hazies and not big on slush or whatever type of stuff either. Lagers and Belgians I tend to like mainly from breweries that specialize in those things. My box is going east, as it always does, some town with a beer named after it.
To my target, your box will leave my house next tuesday. I think it will be the third time and you will get something really nice from US. Still a few things from Quebec but I'm pretty sure will be crazy about the box content
To my sender, I am either very easy, or extremely difficult, to choose for . Haters gotta hate so, I'll start with my "please do not send" list: Hazy beers (unless German wheat or Belgian wit beers) Anything with hop powder or cryo-hops Anything with hybrid hops like HQG4, HS17701, HBC586, etc - and no Vic Secret or Riwaka under any circumstance (barf) Sweet beers (can't drink 'em) unless it's a drier style of barleywine Milkshake anything I really like: Pilsners - aggressively hopped, clean malt, ranging from malty Dortmunders to pale Norweigan Lagers. More into the paler malt, more bitter, floral (Saaz, Hallertau hops) but don't want to be too choosy/difficult to shop for. Saison/farmhouse ale - well made stuff like what Four Winds, Trou de Diable, Auval put out. Fruited is fine. Barrel aged saison, farmhouse or pale ales Authentic, bitter American pale ale and IPA style (like what Stone Ruination, DFH 60/90 Minute, Sierra Nevada Torpedo, Founders Double Trouble used to be). The more boil hops/IBU, the better. British bitter style Coffee- or vanilla porter/stout, even if a bit sweet Thank you in advance for what you'll be sending, and possibly my condolences for being paired with me
Out and about today and saw one more beer to add to an otherwise killer line up! I definitely beering it forward this round! Shipping out this Saturday!
I am a pretty easy guy to buy for. I am looking for stuff I haven't tried. Stuff you like, I probably will as well. Not a coffee fan, so coffee stouts are lost on me. No smoked beers Easy on the sours, I am old and my stomach has issues taking the teeth enamel melting sours anymore. Love my IPA's, but also love a good pilsner or barley wine. Cheers Chad
Hello @remsad and thank you so much (!!!) for an absolutely killer box - it was very generous of you, and exceeded any expectations! This was a really great CANBIF (receiving and sending) and I look forward to the next round.
@remsad also sent me one more beer, so very generous of him! This pic isn't me being fancy - I accidentally returned the empty before taking a pic of the bottle (with the rest of the beers in the box) so I pulled the check-in from Untappd. The Auval beers were really superb (as good quality as Hill Farmstead). This is the ´Tite Framboëse (2025)
