Candy corn beer? I can all but guarantee that I would absolutely hate it. But my general curiosity would still lead me to try it, like in all things I may be pleasantly surprised.

Had a Milkshake IPA that was brewed with Captain Crunch. Actually really enjoyed it.

I really cannot imagine some of the beers emerging, with dessert aspect, that folks buy. It amazes me. But, Candy Corn is no surprise to be a modern additive.
Reminds me of my Dad's story about training in Australia in advance of the huge naval and beach assault at Leyte in The Philippines, They had about a week off, had all kinds of local diversions, and they were drinking some chocolate liquor, mixing it with beer, and moving along. He said it was the worst thing he ever did, convinced him that alcohol was evil, and that the experience helped harden him for a difficult marine assault. But I always thought he was joking......

I've come to the realization that using whole products as flavorings bothers me way more than combinations of single ingredients, for whatever reason.
If you want to combine coffee, cinnamon, and vanilla, that's fine and I'm all for it, but as soon as you start adding cookies, donuts, Twinkies, breakfast cereal, etc., straight into the boil, that just really bothers me.

Supposedly, Pittsburgh Brewing Co. soon found out that "lemon-lime" wasn't a selling point so they dropped it for just "Flavored Beer" (as shown on the can).

But, around the same time, Lone Star went all in with...

Did the beer taste like Captain Crunch?

Although I have a problem with spices and flavorings, I REALLY have an issue with adding whole products to beer. The reason is simple, beer is a liquid and many of those products have a certain texture that defines them which simply does not translate to beer. Plus, very few of them actually taste like the product, textural similarity or not. They represent one of the things that makes me hate craft beer and that's novelty.

Correction: It was a sour IPA brewed with Captain Crunch and Pixy sticks. Yes, I remember it being similar to the Berry version of Captain Crunch.
