    Hi all,

I'm getting the itch to go play some golf, and well, it's a bit chilly here this time of the year. I normally take out a tallboy of Genny or something similar for a summer round, but that's just not what sounds good on a grey, 30s to 40s kind of day. I'd love to take something full bodied and warming out on the course, and preferably, something in cans.

I've gone with Moo Thunder on slightly warmer days, and it was great. But short of that, Ten Fidy, and the usual lineup of dry stouts, I can't think of any stouts at all that are canned. Any ideas on what I might be able to grab for this outing?

Oaked Ten Fidy. (sorry, got nothing. Maybe one of the Sixpoint brews)

he's asking for imperial stouts, not milk stouts.

to the OP, i haven't come across any imperial stouts in a can other than Ten Fidy, but a solution could be to fill up a SIGG bottle with your favorite imperial stout

I'm only aware of Ten Fidy as well. However, Anderson Valley's Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout is available in cans. While not an imperial stout, it is a very good oatmeal stout and might fit the bill.

I realized that just after I posted it. The only other Imperial Stout I found in a can was this:

But they only seem to distrubute to the SouthWest...

Sixpoint has two options for ya:
    Deisel (6.3%, not imperial)
3 Beans (10%, & if you haven't tried 3 Beans yet it's past time you rectify that mistake!)

Sixpoint Diesel is not technically an Imperial Stout, but it's a pretty big beer IMO.

Santa Fe Brewing Co has an Imperial Java Stout in a can over here further west in the states.

FWIW, Young's Double Chocolate Stout isn't a milk stout -- no lactose added.

Buried Hatchet and Santa Fe are both excellent. You dont get them distro'd over there, but worth trading for is you want some variety

Not a stout, but Troegenator is going to be canned soon. May be a good fit for what you're looking for.

Buried Hatchet is excellent stuff. This one's coming out, in a can soon, too.

Wasn't a huge fan of Buried Hatchet when I lived in TX. Ah well.

Sixpoint sounds like a good option, though I don't recall seeing that one near me. Got a few other places I can check still, however, so hopefully I can dig some up. Thanks for the tip!
