    I think the OP wasn't looking for a beer experience, rather a ranting experience. If you are into embracing craft beer, a date code on a can shouldn't be perceived as a hurdle from a experience....unless your looking for one.

    But I'm sure the OP has more money in their pocket. Just saw it for 17.95 a sixer. Can't justify paying that for what I find to be a good but not great beer.

    My explanation of them dating their product is that they want the consumer to know when the product was produced. They will also use this for quality control I suppose.

    They do it so people buy it not knowing the beer is past it's prime. That's what I think.

    What is your explanation for them using julian dating instead of conventional format? I agree that they need to know the dates of their own product, but I think they put it in an inconvenient and non-obvious format because they don't want customers to look at outdated product and decide not to buy the beer. All I'm asking is is there any other explanation for using julian dating?
