Can a St. Lamvinus land one of the following?
    BA Owde Engwhish Bawey Wine
    BA Behemoth
or one of the BA Alpha Klaus's
Im gonna pick one up tommorow and I'm not the biggest fan of the style so I figured I would share the love. Those are some of my bigger(est) wants. Just curious.
    Thanks Guys

Just saw a post above, Is this considered bad practice? Buying a bottle to trade it?

How do you think people get the bottles they trade, steal them?

Absolutely not. You're buying it to pull something of higher personal value, hopefully leaving both parties happy.

I personally wouldn't ever buy any beer for the sole reason to trade it.

I would think you'd have a tough time trading a fresh St. Lamvinus for any of the above barrel aged beers, but someone who has had those beers and didn't like it very much (which I know a few folks had that feeling regarding the barrel aged klauses) might be willing.

    Cheers!

If you can "pick one up tomorrow", then you probably won't be able to land a brewery-only release. That said I have no idea what the BA Alphas are trading for...I'd start with those.

You can probably get something pretty decent for a st. Lamvinus. Maybe some BCBS, BA plead the fifth...Im dying for a bottle myself! That said, BA FFF are not easy to get. I offered up a BA speedway plus locals for the BA behemoth and got crickets.

I pulled a trade with my friend where we sent a Lou Pepe Kriek and an Iris for a BA Behemoth. Both parties were happy, so it goes.

No offense, but you're not buying that to "share the love", you're buying that to chase after some big wants. If your goal was to "share the love", then you would just put it up for locals and/or some lesser wants. I don't care either way, just be honest about it.

To your question - Lamvinus can pull some nice beers, but you might be pushing it a bit with BA FFF beers, which typically seem to trade well beyond their expected level. In theory that should be a good trade, but in practice it might be tough to pull off.

I traded a St. Lamvinus for 2 King Henry's a couple weeks back.

Not really. Just wanted to see if I could start something...

I'm surprised no one has pointed this out, but there's only one i in "Cantillon".

Anyway, St. Lam trades pretty well as far as it goes, but it won't land a Fou Foune and I doubt Fou Foune could pull any of those. So no, those trades probably won't happen.

Just wait. Immobilisme will be here in just a minute to point out how he's not a true beeradvocate.
