Has anyone been able to find any bottles of cantillion or 3F in the nyc area?

Definitely a solid no for cantillon bottles personally, but it's been up on tap numerous times recently. It did hit a certain shop in Brooklyn a few weeks ago...I heard they were asking crazy money for bottles though.

Deccico's has them in the back, 1 per customer or lou pepe K, and classic. 3f Doesjel and Kriek on the shelf. Expensive for all of them.

They were definitely around NY and NJ this year but it took a lot of digging and some luck to find them. Between 3 different shops I was able to get a KP Kriek, a Rose de Gambrinus, a classic Kriek, and a few classic Gueuze 375's. A few other places had just sold their last bottles by the time I got there.

What parts of Jersey? North, Central, or South?

And was it a wink-wink with the manager or did you just ask them what they had in back?

I know they're floating around but considering I pick them up for so little once a year in Belgium I'm always hesitant to hear the price some people ask.

North Jersey, plus Half Time in Wappinger's Falls NY has some behind the counter (but in plain view) at times. I got LP Kriek at New Beer in NYC after schmoozing the owner a while. I always stop in and buy something regardless of whether it's rare or not. I try not to just show up and grab the rarities only and I think store owners appreciate that.

Still there in Brooklyn as of last weekend, $30-$90 per bottle depending on what you want, various Cantillon and Schaerbeekse Kriek. Also a box of XII for $400. LOL.

I was really hoping my friend was joking when he said $90 for bruocsella...those guys are absolutely insane.

Certainly agree on that last part. And, really, that's how it should be.

Wow. Iris is good, but $50 for a half bottle good? I think not.

Based on the prices, my guess is Bierkraft in Park Slope

My mind jumped to Bierkraft when I first read it but those prices are pretty asinine even for them. I was figuring that it's probably a new shop that opened since all of them seem to be charging stupid prices for limited stuff (Beer Table Pantry and Top Hops come to mind).

Top Hops wasn't so bad with some stuff lately, $17.99 for Parabola and $24.99 for Sang Noir and Vine. Not cheap, but more normal NYC markup than ripoff.
