What's a comparable lambic or gueuze/multiple easier to obtain lambic a or guezes to trade for the most recent batch! Would it be on par with Hommage, some of the 3F Seasonals, a couple Lou Peps or Fou Found, etc?
Brewery only, 15 Euro a bottle. I'd imagine Hommage is pretty close, maybe a couple Fou Founes, though anyone who bought 50n at the brewery in the last few months had access to FF and LPK as well.
Bottle limits for this one were pretty weird. Started as 3 per person at Cantillon, then 1 per person and you had to buy two more bottles. Fou Foune is 6 per person and it did sell out a lot faster. I'd say just for bottle limits, price and sheer trouble of having it imported alone... 3:1 in Fou Founes for a 50N, easily. Especially since 50N got no distribution stateside (right?)
Right. And bottle limits were truly weird. No to-go the four days we were in town, but they were for sale to-go the week before & the week after. But we had two of them in-house, so no complaints! Wonderful brew.
No 50n state side. 3:1 may be a bit high, but 50n is a tough pull. I was very lucky with the deal I got for mine. Opened it for my birthday. It was...disappointing :-/
I wanted to revive this since it's been about a year since it's release. What would this go for with the new Fou Foune release?
I mean you're comparing a gueuze to barrel aged barley wine, 2 completely different things so hard to say what's worth it to you. in terms of trade value, probably close? I dunno. honestly don't see 50n traded all that much. I would think it's along the lines of Hommage, or maybe BCBVS, Zomer? something like that
Ah ok, thanks for the advice. I'm definitely more into sours, I noticed Aaron trading 1:1 with bcbvs, but then I've seen it go for much less, so I was curious about this one.
I thought aaron was simply delicious, but i would say no, 2 arron would not get a 50n...but that's just my opinion. post the FT and see.
