Was looking for some details about this beer. I know that it isn't the same thing as Rose De Gambrinus and I know it's been retired for awhile now. When did production on it stop? Why? Is this available anywhere at this point or is it hidden deep in cellars somewhere? Was this a single time bottling or multiple vintages?

Pretty sure that Rose de Gambrinus is just renamed Framboise, but I could be wrong. I think the names switched in the late 90's. Someone (callmemickey?) has a site of labels that you could use to approximately date the switch. I have a 1982 bottle that's getting opened on my girlfriend's birthday, so they exist but are hard to come by.

I saw a 1982 Cantillon Framboise on eBay a little while back. Being born in 1982, I really wanted it but it sure did go for a lot. Make sure to post how it tastes!

For the record, I got mine in a trade. I think there are a number of '82's floating around from when that one dude found his grandfather's stash, or something. And with a bottle like this I think there will be massive bottle variation, so even with my experience you probably won't know what you're missing.

I too would be curious about info on this one...
