Bklyn Larder currently has 375s of the Gueuze and Rose de Gambrinus for $12 and $14.50 respectively. They will probably go fast, but not as fast as a dedicated beer store.

Damn I was just there. Hopefully it lasts until tomorrow.

Just picked up one of each. There were about 3 bottles of each left. Have to ask for it behind the counter

Not in Brooklyn. The Iris was a tip from another BAer who asked that I don't post the location. There's also Lou Pepe Kriek floating around at (I think) City Swiggers, but call them first to make sure it's still in stock.

It's within the 5 boroughs of NYC. Sorry, not trying to be a dick, but both the BAer who told me (and with whom I'll be sharing the Iris) and the store owner both asked to be kept on the DL. They only got 6 bottles of Iris and 6 of the Gueze and don't want a run on the store - I think he's saving them to reward his best customers. Or else he/she would have posted it on FB/Twitter.

As I said though, check City Swiggers and Bierkraft, who are expecting another case today (according to the cellar manager who I spoke to last night). Also, Bklyn Larder might not have sold out - they still had like 6 bottles as of last night and there weren't any other beer geeks there when I went in.

Anyone know when the current distribution is going to stop? It's been popping up a lot in the last ten days.

Not trying to be a dick but you probably shouldn't have posted it then.

I don't understand why we have a new thread every time a potentially .rar beer is for sale.

There should be a concerted effort to discourage this kind of beerd-swarming.

Bud, I dont even like sours. I'm just saying, coming on here and telling everyone I got this but I can't tell you where is kind of useless.

So then how about someone like me? I don't specifically live near beer stores (on Long Island) that carry Cantillon. However, my law school campus is in NYC and I always hang out in NYC. It would be great to get my hand on a bottle as I have NEVER tried it.

Should rare beer only be in the hands of people that are secretly "in the know?" I'm not planning to hoard bottles or sell them for outrageous prices. I would just like to buy a bottle without cutting off a limb by ordering it from Europe. Is that so unreasonable?

No, its not unreasonable. However, do you actually think that having these types of threads HELPS you get that rare beer? Because of this thread, by the time you get to the mentioned stores, they'll be long sold out.

As Jbuddle mentions, if these threads weren't made, it'd actually be more likely for you to just come upon a store that has Cantillon for you to buy because of dumb luck.
