Cantillon Lou Pepe 2003 Kriek help

    My friend has Lou Pepe which he's been holding on to for a long time and has been doing some cellar cleaning. Being he has multiples, he wants to make some trades for some of the newer popular beers. I've done many trades with newer beers but do not have a lot of experience with the market value and older beers.
    He has compiled a list (obviously posted a lot of the big beers) for constructive criticism. He just wants to get an idea of what the trade value of this beer is worth. Thanks for your help peeps. Cheers!! :slight_smile:

    03 sticker or cork? If it helps, I traded an Et Tu Brut for an '04 sticker about 3-4 months back, and both sides were very happy with the trade.

    It's probably at about DDG level, and that may be giving it a of bit a generous value rating. Definately not BVDL or anything like that, also you offer 2-4 of the probably. Really, you need to find someone who actually cares about vintage or is building a vert. to pay that kind of trade premium.

    Thanks for your input. He was hoping to try some new stuff so he's getting rid of some cellar stuff. Also has a '03 lou pepe Fram as well as an '05 Fou foune. Maybe some combination can do some justice. Thanks again.

    The 05 Fou is "worth" the most out of that combo.

    From your list, I think 1:1 with Rare or b2 50N is the closest thing I can see. Worth more than Atrial, PVW Eclipse '13, Life is Like, DDG, b2 Hommage, Great, BN 750 (don't trade for this…not worth it, imo), any Coolship beer. Not worth as much as the other ones. Just my valuation, but I think I'm pretty close.

    Thinking about it a bit more, with the 05 Fou'Foune you may even be able to land a BVDL. Really, it all depends on the right person seeing it...
