I was thinking about getting a Cantillon order together with my eye mostly on some St. Lam. Just trying to gauge interest. The St. Lam beers are 24 or so euro which is $30. After shipping and tax they come out to more but it depends on how many people I can get. So it could be $40+ but not sure yet. Let me know if you're interested.
Good luck. I just organized a massive Cantillon order in NYC. I suggest using Etre Gourmet (cheaper than BIAB) and first making a test order to mess around with the shipping to get the best deal.
BiaB is ridiculous on both their prices and shipping. Etre will get stuff like that in but it will be gone really, really quick because of how aggressively priced it is.
I'm going to order from Belgium in a Box so let me know what you guys want. 750ml ~ 1.8kg 375ml ~ 1kg 12oz ~ .8kg Best value shipping occurs at 10kg intervals and the best deals seem to be at 20kg and 30kg. Some combos that work: 5 x 750ml + 1 x 375ml = 10kg 4 x 750ml + 2 x 375ml + 1 x 12oz = 10kg
Shipping rates to DC: 10kg - 64.80 euro ($84.89) 20kg - 97.20 euro ($127.33) 30kg - 129.60 euro ($169.78) 40kg - 226.80 euro ($297.10) 50kg - 259.20 euro ($339.55) 60kg - 323.90 euro ($424.31) if you average each out per kg you get: 10kg - $8.40 / kg 20kg - $6.30 / kg 30kg - $5.60 / kg 40kg - $7.40 / kg 50kg - $6.79 / kg 60kg - $7.07 / kg
Concerning ... not sure why they don't use legitimate shipping methods. Seems like 'Kurt' is good for it though.
