I'm sure this is just another example of "what the market will bear" but damn. Significantly cheaper to buy on the black/grey market and have shipped from Belgium. FedEx even. Suburban liquor store.

I'm sure there are a lot of places that use those yellow price stickers, but that looks like Monument Wine in Concord. If so, I can hardly say I'm surprised at the pricing.

I'd hate to see the non sale price.

VERY close, but not quite. It's even $5 over what they were selling Fou Foune for a month back.

I've seen Classic Cantillon at that price. It's absurd what some markets will charge

How often do stores get the rarer stuff like fou, vigerone, and st lam in the oc/la/ie area?

If you really want cantillon that bad just order it from Belgium in a box or trade for it. Would rather do that than support a store that marks up that much.

Belgium in a Box's stock has been pretty low for as long as I can remember. That and the whole thing about them not shipping to the west coast any longer.

Are there no longer any international businesses that ship cantillon?

LAX customs has been catching BiaB and Etre boxes and rejecting them. BiaB will no longer ship go the west coast. Not sure about others.

Etre won't ship to the West Coast either. You may find smaller online ships willing to ship here but you're running a risk of having the box shipped back to Belgium. The only alternative right now is finding someone on the East Coast to receive the package for you, slap a FedEx/UPS label on the box, and send it along (which carries its own risk of seizure by an overzealous FedEx/UPS employee, and possible destruction...at least LAX Customs just ships it back to Belgium).

anyone know if Wisconsin or Florida is safe for BiaB?

Should be, nothing East of the Rockies routes through LAX Customs normally. Obviously the possibility of a freak shipping change is there, but people in the Midwest and East Coast are still getting packages just fine.

I just got a box from Etre, one from TrappistWorld has been "stuck" for 8 days in LAX.

I had Blackwells take me off of the email list because his Cantillon pricing was offensive.

Lot of west coast places had that beer around in early 2015. I don't think any ON PREMISE places I saw had it for that much. Maybe 45.
