Just seen this on Facebook. On October 5th & 6th 2012, Cantillon are hosting a special beer tasting along with food from an Italian Slow Food group and brews from three Italian breweries.

    More info here (English version):

A range of Cantillon lambics paired with various dishes, followed by the Italian beers and finally a tasting of the Cantillon amphora lambic!

This sounds like the most awesome beer tasting ever. Might have to consider going....

I think I'd skew my selection to Cantillon, Cantillon, Cantillon some Cantillon and a bit of food.

As you're crossing Spain, look out for the rain. It will likely be soaking your ticket.

I went to this a few years ago and had a great time. They had different tables setup throughout the brewery with a different beer and food at each. It was super busy but a great time. How with the addition of a handful of Italian beers, the list looks fantastic

I went to this a few years back, and each beer to sample was paired with a local cheese. It was incredible. Took a couple friends who had never had a sour before, and they loved it as well. If you're anywhere near Brussels, don't miss this. At most, they only do this event every other year.

I wonder which Xyauyu they'll be serving (not exactly a light-weight beer).

I went once. Highly recommended if you like lambics and cheese. :grinning:

I'll be there tomorrow with my sister. Do we need to get there right when it starts or can we come at anytime?

I hope anytime, I'll only be arriving in Brussels at 10:30.

I'll be the 6 ft 8 300 lbs giant

Hottest, sweatiest event ever. Glad I went, the amphora lambic was absolutely sensational, but man. Doing two straight comedy gigs after that has left me completely wrecked. Tired, but incredibly satisfied

Yeah, it was pretty packed but well worth it. I'm not sure if you'd ever be able to sample that many different Cantillon beers at the same time. Fou Foune was still my favorite.

Hmmm slide show worked for me.

I really enjoyed the Quintessence. Some of the food pairings were great, although I admit binning half of the steak tartare. The order of the beers was spot on and it was nice to have a decent amount of time at Cantillon to soak up the history.

Superb - great photos. Now I'm sad I missed this....

Where is the well lit 'new' area in some of the photos? I've been to the brewery twice and don't recognise that part....
