Do these even exist? If so, would love to throw one on my truck.

Also, where do y'all typically find your lambic/gueuze baskets?

    Thanks!

When I was at Cantillon I didn't notice any stickers. They did have baskets, but I don't believe that they were branded. I got my lambic basket from a beer store just outside of Gent, but have heard that they pop up on Etsy (or similar) from time to time.

Thanks Stu. I wasn't really meaning a Cantillon branded basket, just any old basket. Thanks for the info!

They really are nicely constructed. Mine still smells fresh off the vine, so to speak (almost 2 years later).

Worth the investment....I think. She refuses to tell me how much it actually cost her.

I just checked out their website and I live about 45 minutes from their shop. LOL, will have to check it out this weekend.

    Thanks everybody.

There are a multitude of different types of baskets that can be used for lambics. The best are the ones with a narrow slot which don't require a ring to hold the bottle in place. Then there are the ones with larger slots and typically have a ring because the bottle with slide forward while pouring without it. This is the traditional method of serving lambics in Belgium because it doesn't disturb the yeast while pouring. I routinely get all but the bottom 1/2 inch or so of a .75l with crystal clear pours using baskets. If you drink good sours then you should do yourself a favor and invest in a few baskets. As others have said there is no particular brand. Typically they are marketed as "wicker wine baskets". They are hard to come by even in Belgium but are definitely worth seeking out.

The good ones with the narrow slots can be purchased here:

And as dc said they can also be found at thrift stores from time to time.

While being the slightly larger slot variety, this basket does hold a 750ml rather snugly. Also, it was found at thrift store.
