I'm looking to trade some Cantillons in my cellar for a DDG and Veritas. I was hoping to offer a my Mamouche Vigneronne and a regular gueuze for a DDG and Veritas '14. Would I be close on this one or would I need to offer more on my end?
Mamouche and Vig are slightly above "shelf" Cantillon and Classic is. With right timing, you can get them online and cost-effectively. DDG is brewery only, once every 3 years, and harder to acquire. You'll have a better chance for V014 because it's recently released. Vig or Mam + Classic may be fair for each, but not very persuasive.
No I wasn't. That's what it took. I tried doing St. Lam + several lesser options (375 classic or kriek, MZ, MC, etc.). I had to bump the + up to Iris to get one person to respond a day after I posted the offer. Unless you think the DDG was being generous.
That was a year ago, too. DDG is weird though. It seems to actually lost some values several weeks ago, but now a lot of people seem to be looking for 1 and supply is definitely significantly less. I just traded mine for a V014 + Barrel Night event glass and wouldn't trade it for 2 "regular-ish" Cantillons (what the OP thinks of offering).
What if it was Lou Pepe Geuze instead of the regular? Would that be enough to get it done, or at least could some combination of the two out of the three be enough to land a DDG? I have a St. Lam I am considering throwing in the mix as well, but I'm not really sure if it's worth giving up to try DDG/Veritas.
Why don't you list the Cantillion you have and experienced knowledgeable BA's will assiste with plausible combos and with you deciding ultimately if you wanna pull the trigger.
I've got a St. Lam, Mamouche, Vigneronne, Lou Pepe and Regular Geuze. I really want to try DDG and I was thinking of offering to trade away my Mamouche and Vigneronne but if it takes a little more I'd be willing to substitute the LPG or St. Lam in there. From what I have what would it take to get a DDG & Veritas?
