Best Bars/Breweries/Bottle shops between Trillium - Canton (early afternoon stop) and Armsby Abbey (dinner), that would be open on a Tuesday?? (1/16) Would love to find some Sip of Sunshine +, staying that night in Sturbridge and hitting TreeHouse Wednesday (1/17)...

medusa brewing in Hudson isn't too far out of the way. I really like that spot. Basically a bar with growlers to go. No food but you can bring your own. There's a solid restaurant just down the street called Rail Trail Flatbreads that also has a solid tap list. Solid bottle shop called Bacon's in Hudson, too (they get Sip pretty regularly).

    That's all I got.

Jacks abby/springdale in Framingham would be on the way for growlers/cans to go and also a solid lunch spot. Actually springdale might be closed on Tuesdays but jacks abby sells some of their stuff.

    Also second the medusa recommendation.

If you are in Hudson Horseshoe Pub and Restaurant has an extensive taplist and food is very good as well.

Got some Grimm Sunshine Pop over the holiday from there. Great tap list

I think the play is to hit Jack's Abby in Framingham, then hop on Rt 9 west and continue to Julio's Liquors in Westborough to browse their great beer section before continuing to Armsby.

Finding, SOS can be hit or miss, but I've had good luck at Wegmans in Northborough( you have to ask for it), and Austin's on gold star in Worcester ( go into the "beer garden" in back). I typically have better luck on Thursdays but it's worth a shot. The Fix had it on tap this weekend and occasionally The Pint has it too.

just a heads up. I agree on the stop at Jacks Abby/Springdale. Great spots for sure. My brewery, Exhibit 'A' Brewing is literally 3 minutes from them, so feel free to stop by. We aren't open on Tuesday, but there's a sign in the window. If you want some cans, call the number, we can hook you up. It's just how we roll

This is well worth taking advantage of. Exhibit A is killing it.

Also Craft Beer Cellar would be worth a stop, there's one in Framingham. They get Sip whenever it comes in. May or may not be in when you go - likely if it's around, everyone has it, if not, well.

Yankee Spirits in Sturbridge should be a must stop if you're staying in Sturbridge! Enrico's Brick Oven in Sturbridge usually has a solid draft list.

Also, I think Yankee Spirits just opened a location in Norwood, which would be the next town over from Canton Trillium.

I second JA, Springdale, and Exhibit-A in Framingham and Medusa and Rail Trail in Hudson. All great places.

People seem to think John Harvards in Framingham is killing it... maybe add that to the list.

Try Wegmans on University Drive right near Canton. They had a decent supply of SOS whenever it is sent up to Boston area. Also has Jacks Abby, Night Shift and Castle Island.

Have done this the other way 'round more than once. Doable for sure given there are only so many hours in a day. Traffic can be a PITA, but it isn't a huge time-consumer to hit both spots in an afternoon.

Also right near Worcester - Flying Dreams is an under the radar brewer, at least for the moment.

Good call, Flying Dreams is the one thing I miss about not having to go to our Worcester office anymore, which was a couple blocks from Flying Dreams. And technically it is in Worcester, not near it, although granted outside of downtown a bit.

Exhibit A guys were awesome! My brother and I visited back in August, we stopped by before doors were open, they welcomed us in, chatted for a bit, and we got some cans to go. Much appreciated as that was our only time in their area on that trip.
