Can anyone hook me up with someone local to the Cape? Looking for an “insider.” Please DM. Thanks.

Cape is kind of a big place. Where are you heading?

I'm not sure it qualifies as "insider" info, but I really enjoy the food at Rock Harbor Grill in Orleans. Also has a serviceable tap list

Tap City Grill in Hyannis has a solid draft list.

Grew up on the Cape, give me a shout if interested.

Flynns Irish Pub in Sagamore has 42 taps and killer burgers - found some gems there before like Hermit Thrush. Second the above suggestion of Tap City.

Devils Purse, Hog Island, Bad Martha, Cisco, Barnstable Brewing, Naukabout - haven't tried them all but should be solid options to visit a brewery.

I suppose I’m more looking for contact info for anyone who might know (or be) a chef or bar owner or wine bar bartender. If anyone can help, great. Thanks!

Usually by the time we pull the boat out of Rock Harbor, we’ve had our fair share. Hopefully there are some strippers on board too!

    Edit: Stripers. I meant Stripers!

I'm spending a week on the Cape (Chatham) at the end of the month. Can anyone comment on any of the breweries/taprooms?

If you feel like heading back to Dennis about 20 minutes or so there are three spots there. Devil's Purse Brewery, Red Nun (better beer selection than the one in Chatham) and Cleat & Anchor.

As the summer approaches and the crowds, Devil's Purse can get pretty tight in their space but has a fairly wide variety of well crafted beers. Red Nun has a good selection and a pretty big space if you have to wait for a table. Cleat & Anchor has a smaller space but does have an outdoor patio (fully fenced in) if you do need to wait. Cleat & Anchor has a "higher end" selection than Red Nun from my experience.

I've also had a decent time at Hog Island Brewery in Orleans the one time I went. They have a big space both indoor and out to relax while trying the beer.

Agree with Ednose. Hog Island, Devil's Purse and Cleat & Anchor are "must stops".

Going to Falmouth for a long weekend, any recommendations as far as local breweries/bars? I know the stretch on main street pretty well but not much outside of that.

British Beer Company in Falmouth Heights has a decent tap list. I think other than Main St and that, you are going to be driving. Kappys is your friend too.

Barnstable Brewing should be tops on your list. Great brews, great environment, & great family ownership! It's a must visit when on The Cape!! You're welcome in advance :-)

Coming onto or getting off the cape, check out Burke's Alewerks in Hanover (exit 13 coming south) for a few pints.

Hey guys ... two things here. I haven't been to my house on the Cape yet this year so both are new to me. Finally will be heading up this week.

What do people think of Barnstable Brewing so far? Worth a trek over from Dennis?

I saw that Moonshine opened a second location in Harwich. How does it compare to the one in Hyannis? Would love to save myself the drive.
