I'm coming up with family to stay in Orleans in a couple of weeks. I plan on trying to get some beers I can't get down here in NJ (both for consumption up there and to bring home). I'm looking to get stuff from NEBC, Jack's Abby and Berkshire. Any thing else that I need to try?

Keep an eye out for the local Cape Cod Beer, on-tap or in growlers.

Won't get NEBCO on Cape or in MA. Should look for Cambridge in addition to your mentions of Jack's Abby and Berkshire. If you don't geT Pretty Things, Mayflower or Clown Shoes/Brash down your way, you should look for that. there's plenty of other MA beers worth trying, as well.

Grab the NEBCO either on the way to or from - or both. For in town, on Cape, def check out Cape Cod Beer. Depending on how you're getting here (Pike or 95 all the way) and timing, stop at Julio's in Westboro - they're just a few minutes off the highway or Yankee in Attleboro. You'll be able to stock up on Jack's Abby, Pretty Things, Mystic, Mayflower, and plenty of other locals you can't get down there.

Thanks everyone. I'm taking 95 to 195 through RI. I've had Cape Cod Red before and thought it was good. Haven't had any others from them.

I'll try and find a place in CT to get NEBCO. I forgot about Pretty Things and Mystic. Thanks for the help

Nothing to add to the beer choices, but if you are taking Rt 6 out to Orleans, a quick 5 minute detour will let you go to Marshland in Sandwich for stuffed quahogs. One is a meal, they are really great. We never go to the Cape without stopping.

Ok, if you're on 195, there's a Yankee Spirits in Swansea. IIRC, the first exit after you come into Massachusetts. Again, this is dependent on timing, but they'll have just about anything you could want for local brews.

was just out in Truro for 5 nights over 4th of July weekend. Did whale watching out of Provincetown with kids (3,4 & 6 years old) and they had a blast, saw humpback & several minkes. Parents had a blast exploring the tap & bottle list at Noreast Beer Gardens after the whale watch. Liquid courage to then go climb the tower. A memorable trip and I highly recommend it.

Fairly sure exit 3, right off the ramp, left at first light passed the highway. Went their once on my way to the Cape and was nominally disappointed. A perfectly fine store, but I didn't see much there that I don't know where to find on Cape.

Heading to Truro first week of August. Nor'east Beer Gardens is on my radar. Wish there were some good bottle shops that far up the Cape though.

Just got back. Was able to have Jack's Abbey, Berkshire, Pretty Things, Mayflower, Cape Cod, Naragansett and Grey Sail. We had a great time. Also picked up NEBCO Gandhi Bot and 668 on the way back. Thanks for the tips!

BTW Coastal Wine is freakin huge. Great selection. I will definitely stop there on the way back each year.

So had to make a run out to Truro this weekend to pick up furniture before it was thrown away...and definitely saw the underbelly of the Cape. God traffic is horrible if you don't go at the right time! Why was it a 2 hour wait over the bridge late on a Saturday afternoon??! Ended up getting out to the Beer Garden around 9:00 on Saturday night (yeah I know) which proved too late as the place was too mobbed to even squeeze in. So try to get there early if possible. Don't get me started about trying to get off the Cape on Sunday...now I know to bring a grill & lawnchairs for the wait.

Late saturday is when the weekly rentals begin. That traffic is probably the stragglers getting down.
I always plan to hit the bridge as late as possibly, never before 8 if I can help it. My folks have a house there, so we don't have to worry about check in times, though, and we're between Falmouth and Hyannis, so kit here's that.
