Hey, folks -- I am in NYC for a few days, staying in Bed-Stuy/Clinton Hill area. I was thinking about going up to CL tomorrow, but it's either that or brunch with friends*, so I am torn. I definitely want to bring some good stuff back to Florida for bottle shares, but I'm not clear on how much of the CL seasonal/special release stuff is available at the brewery only. I've also heard mixed reviews about their special release stuff relative to the price point.

So, is it worth bothering? And if I were to skip that in favor of a bottle shop, where should I go?

    Thanks!

    * I know, drag the friends to the brewery, right?

Last I knew they still had Rosso E Marone and Hops and Roses. Both are worth it in IMO. I also happen to love Golden Delicious, but you should be able to get that a bottle shop.

If you like IPAs, go for the Captain's Reserve DIPA, which is excellent. The regular IPA is just run of the mill.
