http://www.packagingoftheworld.com/2015/04/hudson-valley-harvest-sour-ale.html I am so pumped for these. Hopefully they will release them differently than the way Sour'd in September went down. Apparently they will be releasing Cuvee de Castleon, Rosso E Marrone, Hops and Roses, and many others!
Yes, some do. I know for sure that Hops n Roses and Rosse e Marrone have been distributed to bottle shops in NYC.
Has there been any more news on CdC, or is this just based on it being in the "Specialty Beers - Coming Back Soon" section of their site?
New batches of CdC, Rosso, Barrel Select Black were all on tap at Blind Tiger last week for CL event. Scott said they were going to bottle Rosso, CdC at some point. By the way, new batch of Rosso was fantastic.
not sure why there's hostility here, bud. sorry, I used to only go to the brewery only releases. guess i'm wrong. also guess you're a dick.
@BeerWorld 's point sounds accurate. One of the employees commented on his instagram post saying it should be coming out pretty soon
So, does Captain Lawrence still regularly release sours and other "specialty"stuff? I haven't been down there in forever.
Not to burst anyone's bubble, but this is just the packaging concept/art. From their Notes From the Tasting Room section of their site which features the following via Scott (on May 4th 2015): Speaking of those sour ales, Captain Lawrence has expanded its operation into the space next door, and that’s home to what Scott is alliteratively calling the Fermento Funk Factory. (Note: No branding experts or focus groups were involved in the coining of the Fermento Funk Factory name.) The Fermento Funk Factory is mission control for one of the more unique local brewing initiatives around: five different sour ales made with five different fruits grown at five different Hudson Valley farms. Aged in oak, the beers will be ready for consumption next year. It’s early in the process for what will be known as Hudson Valley Sour Ales, but Scott says one of the farms is Stone Barns, which contributes black raspberries for a special sour.
Great news! I was unfortunately unable to make the BT event but had assumed they were going to be older batches of those beers.
I think maybe it's just a regional style classification? You know...like "Vermont IPA" or "Florida Weisse"?
So sorry you feel that way, everyone seems to think they know everything. My sense if humor got your thin skin, didn't think it was gonna make you cry like most people here. Btw i am a dick
