That's awesome, its the thought that counts. Cosmic is helping me out, he always does. Honestly though, I appreciate it. Of course, if there's anyting you currently want on my gots I'll be more then happy to set something up with an old trading partner as well. I can rarely have too many of a good beer

I'm considering visiting today for mother barrel and hops and roses. I just checked the site and captains reserve is only listed by the case. So they don't sell captains reserve as single bottles?

Last I heard it was only by the case.

Be very careful with the sharing. They are very very strict about opening anything there.

I'm pretty sure they sell them for $6 a piece now. They also have it for growlers here and there.

I've been going to Captain Lawrence since the 1st Anniversary party and the initial batch of CDC. With that being said the current batch of Captain's Reserve is one of the best I've ever had. I had no intention of getting anything other then the Mother Barrel, Hop N Roses, Golden Delicious, glasses, t-shirts etc. Once I tasted this current batch of Captain's Reserve I HAD to buy a growler, it's phenomenal. If you have to buy a whole case you won't be dissapointed.

I'm here now. $6 for a bottle, $14 for Growler including glass, so I got both + 2 mother barrel and a hops and roses.

Very nice. Glad to see that the bottles are sold individually. Strange though that they're more expensive at the brewery. The $4.99 by me w/out tax and deposit and I've seen them as low as $4.49 elsewhere.

Had fun hanging with some fellow BA's today. Loved the new look of the brewery, and was glad to share some Hardywood Park goodness with people! Cheers!

A couple things I noticed about how they do growlers are that some beers are pre-filled and others are filled on order. The ones I saw that were filled on order were top filled. I doubt they bottom fill the pre-filled ones and I wonder how long the pre-filled ones have been there.

They do a shit ton of growler business. I wouldn't think that they were filled any later than earlier in the day.

I think that's a trend with a lot of breweries. From what I've seen, bottles of regular stuff are almost always more expensive at the brewery than the average retail price. Always wondered why that is though.

we had a fantastic time visiting the brewery today, the new place is pretty impressive and it really sounds like they're expecting significant growth this year. the pilot batches were tasty but the pale ale was easily my favorite.

originally i was a little hesitant about the new "silent release" plan but i definitely prefer this to waking up at 1am and standing around in the freezing cold for 6 hours to maybe be able to buy beer.
