Totally agree with this. I stayed away for a long time too because I'm sensitive to dirty D, but I've tried the last couple of batches and this one in particular is fantastic.

The last time I picked some up the cans were dated 12/4.

Yep 12/4 was the latest but those came out 2 weeks ago. You might get lucky with an even fresher batch, depending on when you're here?

Took me a few days to find this in RI.

I had tried a can once in NY and really liked the hop profile.

Went to 6 different stores that all carried Grey Sail cans and most of them only had Flying Jenny or Standard Cream Ale.

Finally found Captain's Daughter and Lawson's SOS at a store, right on the CT border, after leaving Grey Sail in Westerly.

I think I like SOS slightly better, but both are amazing.

Pour Judgement is also really good.

Scoured 8 stores but couldn't find any fresh stuff in RI.
    Only 6-4wk old stuff.
Did however get a 7 day old 4pk of Great Ketch? imperial IPL.
So glad to see this canned. Fuckin delicious.

Have the latest batches been riddled with diacetyl, or has GS solved that problem.

Oddly enough I bought CD in Boston 2 days ago. 2 can limit though & the guy said he wasn't sure it would be hitting MA on the regular. It's very good though!

Had this on tap a few days ago, no diacetyl whatsoever. That said I'm much less sensitive to it than some other people seem to be. I had cans from batches that other folks complained about and I never got the movie theater popcorn experience that was plaguing others.

Bought a 4-pack in Boston yesterday. Tasted great, nothing off about it. Canned on 12/21 I believe.

Have seen this all over Boston this week, pumped to get a couple 4 packs. I just can't pass it up whenever I see it, it's the responsible thing to do!

Had a can from a 4 pack dated 12/21 earlier and there is still some diacetyl. It wasn't pronounced enough to bother me the way it did with batches of this beer from earlier last year where the butter was overwhelming. I thought it was pretty enjoyable.

Haven't really even seen this in Rhode Island. Not that I've been looking for it though. I like Great Ketch better.
