Oh man! Bought 2 4-packs brewed March 18, drank 6 so far, no issues. I thought they were exceptional.

I picked up a 4-pack of the 3/18 Captain's Daughter batch and had the same experience: diacetyl/butterball for sure. At $13 a 4-pack, I may not give this one another chance, either.

Have gotten 3 butter packs and one butter free one. All done with this beer for sure. You would think they may want to change their yeast.

Picked up a 4 pack in Middletoen, CT. $14.99 plus tax and deposit. Does anyone know what the MSRP is supposed to be on a 4 pack? I know I overpaid but just wanted to give it a try one more time.

Picked up some at Kay Wines and Spirits this morning if anybody in central CT is looking. Not sure how much they have left thought. 4/7/15 batch- tastes phenomenal!

After the disappointment of the 3/18 cans I purchased a few weeks ago, I thought I would give this beer another shot. This time it was draft at Track 84. Tasted a little better than the 3/18 cans, but my overall impression with this beer is still "meh."

Not sure why the 3/18 batch is still out there by now, 3/29 batch was tasting pretty good.

Any Captain's Daughter sightings in Boston or the surrounding area?

4/16 can tasted great and no signs of diacetyl, although a bit unbalanced. May actually let my others sit another week or so.

Got one of these as an extra in a trade and it blew my mind it was so good. Not sure of the date on the can but tasted very fresh and had no off flavors. Really wanted to check into trading for some more but maybe not after seeing how inconsistant it seems to be. Also 4 packs of 12 oz cans at 14-15$ is a bit much.

Does this make it to Boston or inside of 95? I saw earlier that Julios and red stone has had captains daughter and/or their anniversary IPL, but rarely get out that far for beer shopping these days.

$15 is def high, I've been getting it in Killingworth for around 12... I've never personally seen it as low as $10, so sounds like East Hampton is the spot!

Just had a can that was absolutely undrinkable. I've had movie theatre popcorn that tasted less buttery.

When this beer is on point, it's fantastic. As good as any DIPA out there.

But there is no excuse for releasing a batch like this that is so riddled with diacetyl, especially at the price they are charging.

    Embarrassing.

Imo, Daughter has a very odd honey flavor and is overly sweet. My taste buds tell me Gandhi is far superior. Carry on.
