I hear the mention of diacetyl. That may be the off flavor I always pick up in this beer and why I don't lime it.

I've passed on it countless times since its initial release. Still have 2 cans from a 4-3 canning. The cans are usually just over 3/4 full also.

    How's the 5/4/15 batch?

Are the cans dated? I checked a few different packs and couldn't find a brewed on or best buy date anywhere..

The cans aren't dated, but the four packs usually have a date sticker.

    To add my experiences:
Had a can last week (unknown date, buddy purchased but was definitely fresh stock) that was all diacetyl. Artificial butter popcorn flavoring. Since introduction (good luck with dates): first 4 pack was solid, second horrendous, third magnificent (maybe late February time frame?), every taste since way off. Kept going back because of Mosaic hops. Well, fool me twice (five, six times?)...

Anyone have an idea when it will be hitting the shelves in CT again?

I picked up a 4 pack dated 5/14/15 last week, the two I drank were great. I don't know when it will be in CT again but I have been told package stores here in RI only get two cases at a time.

Based on the last few cans I've had, check with your local movie theater.

It has dropped today in SE CT if you are in this area.... Old Lyme specifically.

Never had the beer but I've seen dozens of people shit on it in this thread. Somehow still w/ a 96 rating

Because when it's good, it's good. Unfortunately Grey Sail have been wildly inconsistent

I gather that much, but it seems to be ungreat often enough to see a slide in rating.

With its inconsistency, IMO not worth $14 for a 4 pack of 12oz beers

Check Harvest Wine and Spirit in WeHa, they had what looked like 3 cases when I was there on Tuesday.
