I normally filter my beer but I used Gelatin for the first time on this last batch. Same keg setup as usual. Normally boost psi to ~30 for 24 hrs and drop down to serving pressure with no carbonation problems and I did the same thing with this "gelatin batch".

Problem is it has been over a week and not even close to carbonated beer. I can hear keg pressurizing, I am getting a pour...just flat.

So my question is: does it take extra time for beer to carbonate when using gelatin?

No difference whatsoever. All you're doing is injecting some CO2 into a liquid . . . an extra teaspoon of solids will not matter.

Check for leaks. There’s a lot of good info out there for fining with gelatin that should help. It shouldn’t have any effects on carbonation. All the times I’ve used it I’ve had no negative effects in carbonation, just clearer beer.
