Carbonation Temps

    Odd... So the beer that was over carbonated is a gusher at room temps. However, if I chill them then open them they are fine (even without letting some of the gas out). Is this a normal thing to expect w/ HB?

    Yes, that's normal for a beer that's (over)carbonated just enough to gush at high temps (where the loss in air pressure is enough to cause a mass exodus of CO2), but not carbonated enough to cause gushing at lower temps.

    That's not odd, it's normal, CO2 is less soluable in water at higher temps. Ever open a warm bottle of soda/seltzer?

    Beer also foams more in the mountains and during huricane parties.
