Carton Brewing (2022)

And I wonder what the retail price will be if they do. Boat's gone up a buck or two at retailers which, along with the difficultly in reading Carton's usually illegible date codes and the age of those few I can make out (saw anuary dates last time I looked at both Boat and This Town), makes them infrequent purchases these days.

 

I’ve found the prices to be pretty much the same at stores as at the brewery. I also can normally read the can dates easily, with some exceptions. I agree some cans of Boat and a few others can be old in some places. My Wegmans keeps most cans pretty fresh.

 

They are 22$ a 12, which is pretty good IMO, my local store’s retail with Carton is the same Carton charges on the beers they carry at least.

Most Boat I find is within a few months and I have no problem purchasing it in that range.

 

I would love to see WHIP in 12 packs....or a mixed 12 of Whip/Boat/Beach

This weekend I found some Boat canned 5/20/22 in the North Cape May Acme of all places.

 

Price? That'd be one of those "Wins" for me. I'm still shocked when I see Boat going for $14 a 4pk - haven't bought any in quite a while.

Of course, for a brewery that's only 2 hours away and self-distributes (IIRC?), that - beer less than a month from packaging - should be the norm...

 

This was my only loss on that 3 win night, they up charged 3-4$ on what Carton charges (22$). I paid around 26$ after tax. I find this weird because this store charges the exact same price as Carton on their four packs, yet they add cost to 12 packs...

I'm still happy with my decision, I kept trying home delivery but every damn time the boat 12 packs were sold out on their site.

 

Seems lately that Carton is headed down the road into hazy land as far as their IPAs go. Many of the beers coming out recently are NEIPA and I haven't seen beers like IDIPA, EGOIPA, or any Dubviants in a long while. Now we have Smith Sauce and beers like Unexamined Life and that whole series with the colorful cartoonish labels. At least they are still putting our a lot of lagers.

 

Yeah I miss those, especially the Dubviants.

 

Haven't been to Carton in a minute. They have a new tasting room in addition to the loft right? Is there an outdoor space in the new one?

 

Has anyone tried to order 07750 for delivery? I just tried and the only option is store pickup. Other beers have the delivery option. Is this beer pickup only for some reason?

 

Nice to see 12 packs of Festy and The Hook coming out. Hope to see them at stores.

 

I was wondering if we’d see a seasonal switch away from beach for 12 packs. Guess we have the answer…

 

For some reason, I thought the 12 pack hinted at yesterday (8/23) was going to be Carton of Milk.

 

That would make me very happy; what do you mean by hinted at? Something said in one of the videos?

 

They showed the Festy cans rolling out and said on IG there would be one other beer also but didn’t say which. Turned out to be Hook.

 

So the loft is now bigger and has 2 sets of taps. They do have a small outside area out front with a few taps as well. I have been a few times this summer while in the area and it has been pretty laid back and not crowded.

 

Tapped a week ago & developing smartly with a nuanced maturity behind L3, for those in the area to get a hand-drawn/onsite pull, of the new – tru(er) to form – ESB (i.e. a cleaned up version of Don’t Panic)
