Okay - full disclosure, this is a lazy post because I don't want to plug every place listed on Carton's website into Google maps, buuuuuuuuuuuut . . . I travel from Boston down to Allentown every-so-often. Does anyone know of any good places off of 287 between the Tappanzee and I-78 that carry Carton? I know there's a bottle shop just off of 78 in Phillipsburg that does - any place else you guys know of if you're from the area? Thanks!
I don't know if you'll have much luck. The only place I've ever seen it in the area is Gary's in Madison. Not exactly off 287. However, there is a Gary's in Bernardsville on 202. 202 runs parallel to 287 so that's pretty close. I don't feel like looking at the list on Carton's website, but look for that one on there.
Since I'm not so lazy, I took a minute to go through the list, and these places are the only ones that are near 287: GARY'S WINE AND MARKETPLACE 1308 ROUTE 23 N. WAYNE, NJ 07470 973-633-900 GARY'S WINE 100 MORRISTOWN ROAD - ROUTE 202 BERNARDSVILLE, NJ 07924 908-766-6699 SHOP RITE * 100 ROUTE 23 FRANKLIN, NJ 07416 (973) 383-4098 Of those 3, Bernardswille would be the least inconvenient, but there is a road closure currently in that area on 202, so I'm not sure how this affects things. But FREEBRIDGE WINE AND SPIRITS* 9 UNION SQUARE PHILLIPSBURG, NJ 08865 908-387-1380 still isn't a bad option, and you could grab a pint while there, go across the free bridge and pick up 22 right there in Easton, avoiding a toll if it's not weekday rush hour. (but call any of them first to see if it's currently in stock)
You looking for Cans or draft/growler? Right off of 287 in Montville there is Poor Henry's which usually has at least 1 Carton Beer on tap. They have growler specials on Monday Nights. I think their current offering from Carton is Monkey Chased the Weasel.
