    New monthly Carton thread.

To help find their beer, outside their brewery (they have their own tap room, where you can buy, drink, and fill growlers), use the following link:

    http://cartonbrewing.com/find-our-beer/

    More info from their website

    http://cartonbrewing.com/

Tasting room availability is posted on Facebook on Wednesday and Saturday before the sessions begin.

    https://www.facebook.com/cartonbrewing/

Special releases: When there are new cans we set up a table downstairs for efficiency, but outside of those first couple days they are upstairs in the tap room, which is staffed by really nice people.

Post away and yes, Augie, @augiecarton, monitors this thread and will respond to your questions and comments.

    FAQ

To enhance the Carton brewery experience, the following local food recommendations have been suggested.

http://www.kunyasiam.com/ basicly across the street and BYO, very good thai that a growler of Dub rounds out nicely

http://www.thecoppercanyon.com/ serious level southwestern versions of jersy restaurant food the place we make Carton Canyon for

    https://www.beermenus.com/places/19405-gaslight
owned by the copper canyon guys dependably aspirational pub grub good craft list

http://www.ahwinebar.com/restaurant/ proper NJ bar with boat on tap

http://www.christinesitaliandining.com/ small place proper restaurant Italian BYOB

these are just the one's on our street and just the highlights at that there are also 2 pizza places, 2 delis a good bagel shop and a proper diner

there's also great Mexican place and a couple more pubs like chubby pickle in highlands. bahr's/mobys which we make wit whale for is classic shore seafood and 2 of the 4 places doing that right there

best bet is tell the tasting room servers what your'e in the mood for and how far you'r comfortable traveling and they will guide you well

I'm a thief heading through the area on my way to philly from Boston tomorrow (Friday 12/02) around late morning/mid-day. Any recommendations for stores that I can grab some carton offerings at that time? Looks like I'll be too early to make brewery hours.

Do the freehold or Monroe retail spots in the beer finder have regular stock? Those look like they'd be closest to my route.

Thanks in advance. Off topic, but recommendations for the north philly area would be appreciated as well - just a quick weekend trip.

throw a zip in here http://cartonbrewing.com/find-our-beer/ but call first, just cause the get it doesn't mean they have it. if they are on that list they have received some amount of beer in the last 3 weeks

Thanks, Augie. Love the pod and can't wait to try my first Boat (hopefully) after hearing so much about it. My best to the whole crew from a loyal Boston listener.

I just enjoyed my first Epitome of the season.

If you don't like Epitome, you just don't like beer.

Am I the only one that hopes this is an auto correct error?

It's a reference to Augies podcast, Steal This Beer.

Started listening to the podcast about a month ago and I'm hooked. Helped me to re-focus on what caused me to enjoy craft beer in the first place. I'm sure my friends are sick of me saying, "Drink the beer for what it is..."

I really enjoy asking myself or buddies where they are drinking a beer as we taste it.

Got a 2 can allotment of Epitome at Canals last night. Haven't had a Carton brew in a while. Really looking forward to trying this beer for the first time.

I got lucky at canals on my way through. Was bummed to miss boat, but then they ended up having it on tap at bar bottle east in philly - growler option and all. I'm enjoying my first boat right now - outstanding.

Totally the same for me, definitely makes me take a step back from the hype machine. Really want to get some black glasses and try to do some blind tasting with friends.

Huge Steal This Beer fan. Been listening for several months and am now a proud owner of 4 black glasses that have been used in a few blind tasting sessions already.

Maybe we can convince Augie to sell some Steal This Beer branded black glasses.

When they talk about the beer, they talk about what the beer is and not what it isn't... also they say where they would drink the beer before finding out what it is. I highly recommend it, look forward to it every Monday at 5

Haha I dig beer quite a bit but that seems like a strange conversation. "Where you would drink it before finding out what it is?" What does that even mean? Seems more like a conversation while smoking weed.
