Hey Augie just wanted to shout you out for your ability to make excellent low ABV beers. As someone who simply can't handle 8% beers most days, This Town, Boat, Beach, Wit, Dune, Sakura etc are truly some of the best I've had in months. Keep it up

some great coffee shops in the Highlands.

Any thought to do variants throughout the year with different beans from different local roasters?

it has occurred to me but like all things carton since year one, it is about more ideas than tanks.
there are a couple seriously good coffee brewers/roasters in our neighborhood, and i know and enjoy them all., it's one of the many reasons atlantic highlands is the promised land, but don't tell anyone.
problem is most my coffee/beer inspiration comes at fair mountain while hanging out with greg and barbara. it's like a 50's tv show, i am not looking to think new things,i just went in for a cup of coffee and to catch up with the neighbors across the street. there is just a simplicity of having a super comfortable rapport with people so gifted at their flavor vocation. it's the real meaning of synergy unlike all the ways middle-management has misused it in power points over the years. at this point i resist coffee inspiration because of the amount of times i'm inspired to another coffee beer would make carton an all coffee brewery if i let it.
as the new brewery gets caught up and we can get to thinks (sic) like pastry stouts and fruited sours you'll find a lot of that inspiration is from the snacking i do at flaky tart not only because they are so great at what they do but because our conversation is so easy from years of sharing flavors and ideas there is no labor involved, it just happens.
its not i don't think to extend the reach to our other friends, its the list of ideas we are getting to got too long while the tanks where too short and i am still catching up to 7 years of "what if we...'

I can not like nor appreciate this enough..

A great example to me is Purple Glaze Donuts in Asbury Park. I think it would be very cool for them to do something as well with one of their local brewers

    appreciate the reply.

SS Yirgacheffe was extremely delicious and I drank a bunch even months after it had been released. Seeing various single origin coffees with that would be phenomenal. No pressure, Augie. Haha

i get the idea but yirg works because of how lemony that yirg from that farm roasted and fermented in that manner are, is, coffee would be another beer. there is a bali doppele a papua new guinea milk porter, a sumatran dubbel, there are millions, there is one for every coffee greg has ever taught me to cup. tanks ,time interest and variety all must be considered. we will get to them all

The concept/reasoning behind that new beer seems so cool and unique.

Found out that a friend of mine happened to be at the brewery as soon as I saw that post and I was able to ask him to grab a four pack for me. Excited to try this

I'm drinking a Fat Mad Monkey as I type. It reminds me of a sophisticated fruit punch - you can taste the mulberry juice and the Wai-Iti hops add some lemon and orange notes. The lactose adds subtle sweetness and the wheat cracker kicks in at the finish and in the after taste. The 7.4% ABV is surprisingly noticeable. Nice collab, Augie! Thank you.

"Damn." that kendrick reference didn't hit me 'til just now. Very good.

I wonder what some of our local beer history aficionados (@jesskidden ) will think of the beer. I'm really excited for this, personally. Cheers!
