    New monthly Carton thread.

To help find their beer, outside their brewery (they have their own tap room, where you can buy, drink, and fill growlers), use the following link:

    More info from their website

Tasting room availability is posted on Facebook on Wednesday and Saturday before the sessions begin.

Post away and yes, Augie, @augiecarton, monitors this thread and will respond to your questions and comments. Even Jersey food questions and comments.

Carton has canned so many beers in recent months that I feel spoiled .

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I wonder if they will ever release BDG in cans? One of my absolute favorites and one of the only beers I actually enjoy drinking while I eat. It's good for all occasions. Quite versatile.

Any opinions on Rickey? I thought it had a really nice tart fruit flavors but had a weird chalkiness (gypsum maybe?) that hit the roof of my mouth in an astringent way. FWIW I love high acid, and wines with lots of salty or chalky limestone flavors (muscadet, chablis) but this was very different from that.

I've had miserable allergies for a week though, so my palate could definitely be off.

betting the "roof of mouth" thing is the juniper

Could be, and I definitely considered that. Gin does not rank among my favorite beverages. Thanks for the input.

juniper isolated from all the other gin botanicals will do a very different thing, but alone it definable has a very tight mouth-feel so i am pretty sure that's what you are sensing

That's really interesting, I considered juniper as the taste, but it really had a noticeable mouthfeel as opposed to just a flavor. That's what made me think it was probably mineral. Can't say I've ever had straight juniper.

Yes it does make me feel better.
One day we will live in a world where cans of BDG, Red's, Boat and 077 will all be readily available year round.
And that my friends will be a better world.

I'd love the cans of BDG. Much easier taking those to a BYOB than the growler.
