Carton Brewing (May 2016)

I do not think that any of the variants I've had so far are noticeably better than standard 077. And Sauvignon Nelson didn't work for me at all.

 

I agree that they're not better necessarily than regular Odub and I like some better than others.

 

I think all the variants are better than the original. Not progressively though. Nelson was the best. "Didn't work at all?" Whhhaaaaaaatt??!

 

Yeah I did like the Nelson a lot too.

 

Up until yesterday, I only had the Nelson variant and then I had the Warrior at Carton. For me, the Nelson was better than the regular, with the Warrior being about the same. In the grand scheme of things it's like saying that a girl who is a 9 isn't as pretty as the one who is a 10.

Can't wait to open a Mosaic today.

 

Looks like Mosaic is gone. Disappointing considering this was going to be my first trip to Carton.

 

Still worth going when you can walk or of there with a case of boat and a case of CREAM. Also there may still be some mosaic just not enough to make it through the day.

 

There was about 20 cases of Mosaic at opening.

 

Felt this may be the case but couldnt justify the extra hour round trip of driving to the wife and baby for less than a sure thing. Oh well... next time. Thanks, will keep this in mind

 

I was driving to Carton, on the GSP, getting gas at Cheesequake, when I found out Mosaic was gone. I was sad.

 

Is it still available anywhere?

 

Just picked up 2 4-pks of Mosaic from Liquor Factory in Sparta

 

Any left? Asking for a friend.

 

More than 3 cases are still left....and they have it for growler fill too. 4-4pks PP limit

 

SS cream is totally flying under the radar.

Carton is open Monday for MDW. Anyone know what was on the brew schedule this time last year? I can't for the life of me remember. Monkey and Dune were Fathers Day, so it'd have been the release prior.

 

I think Intermezzo, so perhaps something similar with different ingredients? Nonetheless, wouldn't be surprised if a waxed growler of something pops up

 

Can't remember exactly but I've also been thinking we might get a sour this weekend. Fingers crossed
