His opinion doesn't really count.

 

Did you end up getting those Magnify beers? If so, what's your opinion? I rated Carton Mosaic higher than Extreme Low Vis but did really like the Extreme Low Vis nonetheless. I think my opinion counts...after all, I'm a poobah!

 

Agreed on the Philly Tap Finder link but to add to it, Jon's near South Street, Fountain Porter in Passyunk Square and Twelve Steps Down (Smoking bar) in the Italian market almost always have something on tap from Carton.

Someone gave me a can of each.
Extremely low vis I was not a fan of at all. I thought the taste (not the carbonation) was kind of flat. The finish was a little artificial tasting.
Imp Vine Shine was ok. There was nothing I didn't like about it but nothing that made me want more. Its frustrating because I want to love them.

Might be a dumb question but are boat/077 pretty widely available in liquor stores? Driving through NJ next week and would like to pick up a couple cans. Got a few places scoped from the beer finder on the Carton site but not going to bother if there's nothing on the shelves right now.

 

if you pass close to the brewery just stop in def your best bet Joe canals and other random places regularly offer boat and 077 for growler fills but cans can be hard to come by

 

Amazing how a few 100 degree days in the tropics will mess with your palate. Tried a few beers from different breweries in the US - anything over 7% was a turn off.

We would have MURDERED for some Carton Boat. Founder's All Day had to suffice... MURDER I SAY.

I'm still suffering from palate lag - going to go pick some up to enjoy Bonnie.

Ricky is being released today. Can offerings look to have remained the same.

 

Can limits are down to 4 four-packs so I guess supply is starting to dwindle.

 

There's alot of hate for Rickey on the FB comments. Is it really that bad or is this just uneducated criticism?

 

Haven't tried it yet but my guess is uneducated criticism.

 

I didn't see a lot of hate on FB. Really just one guy saying it was Carton's worst beer.
