Currently drinking one the alcohol burn that turned me off is gone orange is much more present due to the hops fading a bit but its in an excellent place right now. Got one left to crack at the one year mark

Had an SS Cream my buddy had sitting in his fridge and thought it was a shell of its former self. We should all crack the AOEs at the one year mark.

Just opened this, and to everyone's point I think it's not only held up but it's better after its had some time to mellow.

Gotta give Carton credit on always being in the right price range on their beers. Seems like they hit the mark and make it affordable to drink interesting liquid.

Are you saying you can get a 4 pack of stout for $14 and be fair about pricing if you don't give it the #dreambeer moniker?!

Jean makes some really great beers. Will I pay his outrageous prices? No way. Way too much good beer going around for that 22 dollar 4 pack nonsense.

Best flight deal I've come across in any state. 6 4oz sample pours for $5, unheard of!

I'm really impressed. This has lots of dark fruit, which I really like in a stout.

Cherry cordial came to mind, coffee up front. Lovely stout.

Yes and I love it in all its stages. Sometimes I appreciate it really green and sometimes I love it a bit more graceful.

That's a very apt description. Unjunct is really growing on me. It has all of the flavor profiles I like in a stout. Carton's stouts seem to have a unique base flavor and I wonder how much of a common recipe there is. Unjunct reminds me of Cosmonaut but without the ice cream adjunct. I saved a couple cans of Cosmo and I may do a side-by-side tasting.

I'm willing to bet that, "base" flavor is apparent if you dissect all of their beers. I often say I could pick a Carton beer blind even if I never had the one you gave me. I believe this commonality comes from the house yeast they use, but I could be wrong.
