To help find their beer, outside their brewery (they have their own tap room, where you can buy, drink, and fill growlers), use the following link:

    http://cartonbrewing.com/find-our-beer/

    More info from their website

    http://cartonbrewing.com/

Tasting room availability is posted on Facebook on Wednesday and Saturday before the sessions begin.

Special releases: When there are new cans we set up a table downstairs for efficiency, but outside of those first couple days they are upstairs in the tap room, which is staffed by really nice people.

Another place to go is TSTBBQ - Texas Style BBQ with a New Jersey attitude, in Leonardo, NJ.

How to get to Carton (The BOAT STORY)

    The boat from the city:
On weekdays the Atlantic Highlands stop on Seastreak ferry is 5 blocks straight down 1st Ave (.4 miles 8 minutes walk on Google maps)

On weekends there is a shuttle waiting at the Connors Highlands stop on the ferry that will run you over to the Atlantic Highlands stop (if you are nice to the driver they very well may drop you at Carton as you pass)

OR you can take the ferry to Connors Highlands, walk down Shore Drive to Kranky Cyclesand rent a bike (.3 miles-6minute walk on Google maps) and rent a bike. They have motorized and regular cruisers which can be peddled down the Henry Hudson bike path to Carton (2.9 miles 15 minute peddle according to Google maps) as well as out Sandy Hook for some beach time with stops at any of our local seafood shacks along the way.

    * The Henry Hudson bicycle path between Highlands and Atlantic Highlands is currently under construction, and might be finished in early Fall. While you could definitely still rent a bike and go down Route 36, it's a very large hill, and not scenic like the ride along the water.

No. It's so annoying. Same for Kane

Last month's Carton thread was 2 pages long. And not even 2 full pages

The Henry Hudson bicycle path is now finished and open. Rent a bike and take the scenic route to the brewery!

Serious question: why is it annoying? I find it helpful at best, and [can't remember the word for something that is just there but has no impact on anything] at worst.

FWIW it was definitely still blocked off on Sunday. Not sure where the info came from.

I called the Ranger Station on the supplied link above and they confirmed that the construction is still going on unfortunately. The disclaimer on the first post is still valid. Same blockage and same detour exists.

It's a private contractor and hopefully still on schedule for fall completion. Thanks for the corrections guys. The bike path had sustained a lot of damage from Sandy and needs these repairs.

Whenever this happens I'll be buying a lot of it. My favorite next to boat, it's what I always end with when I'm in the tasting room.

Same here. I was actually just thinking of this yesterday whilst sipping on a Red Rye Returning. Those constantly overlooked Aramis hops with that toasty malt base....... is all I can say. Easily one of my favorite beers by Carton

Have to say Carton does a fantastic job with pricing. Great value throughout the lineup.
