Any clue if they will sell kegs at the brewery for home consumption? When I was at Kane for the Stout event it didnt look like it but I thought id ask.
Carton does. Kane has a plastic paint bucket style keg they sell. I have only had Overhead and it was a while ago but it had a strong solvent note. Overhead usually has a model glue kind of smell that I like(I think it's chinook) this was too much of that. Totally possible it was the batch and not the keg but I remember mentioning it to my buddy who's keezer it was which is why he showed it to me.
they both sell kegs. Kane requires a 30 dollar cash deposit for each keg. the $30 is refundable when you return the keg. Carton gives you 60 days to return the keg before they charge your CC the $30.
Both sell kegs but not for all their beers. Also someone mentioned the plastic kane kegs. Note they are wider than a standard sixtel. This was a problem for me because i bought it before my prior sixtel had kicked-I like to avoid the horror of not having tap beer at home. My kegerator fits two standard sized sixtels but not one standard and one plastic. Luckily it was winter so i stored the kane outside until the other kicked.
I've been trying to get through to Kane all week to reserve a keg for this weekend, but I haven't gotten anyone to pick up the phone over there. This is a stupid question, but is there any other way to get a keg? Another distributor or something?
