Had this the last time they brewed it and it was my first real sour beer and absolutely loved it, but I have heard some people say that they hate it. Can't wait to drink it again.

It's a unique beer, from a unique brewery, some people aren't gonna like it haha.

Sounds interesting! I'm not a huge wasabi fan, but I'll def give it a try.

People didn't seem to love last year's rendition; is this year's any different?

Never got to try this but I'm hoping I like it more than the 78 rating...then again I really liked "Rickey" and some people hated that beer

Sounds like it's extremely limited to a few kegs.

Hm. Do you mean a few kegs getting to NYC? Bc these seasonals of theirs are always very easy to find on tap in Jersey.

As for the beer, if I remember right, they last made this 2 years ago? So it's hard to remember exactly, but this one was...interesting. I remember it seeming very similar to what rotted garbage might taste/smell like. But I'm eager to try it again this year.

As typical for Carton- they deliver what they are intending. If you like wasabi and green apple- you will probably enjoy it. I had it last year, and it was really good. The nose was a little strange though.

I hit Carton for the initial release of this on Sunday and I have to say that it was outstanding. Far better than the first batch in 2013. The nose is wasabi, lactic sourness, and wheaty/grainy notes. It literally tastes like wasabi without the nasal burn followed by mildly sour green apples. It's hugely successful, in my opinion. It's not mouth-puckeringly sour, so don't go expecting that. Liked it so much I had two glasses and filled a growler.

Had a sampler pour last night it was interesting but solid. They hit what they wanted. I didn't like it enough to get a growler but it was a solid beer for sure
