What’s with the $10 flat rate shipping thing? All orders above $45 are free shipping correct?

no, I think that is gone.

Please note: due to rising shipping cost we have discontinued our free shipping offer

Did last years membership include the BA stouts/barleywines? I can't seem to find any on untapped. Also, do you remember what kind of limits there were on the early access can releases?

I think on the can releases it’s a day or 2 before public gets it? No biggie. I had no issues getting cans from CasaA throughout this Covid year. The shipping cost is kinda a big deal. But not a deal breaker. Plus one of my local spots in OC got in all the new cans plus 2 bottles last week. So fingers crossed he’ll be getting CasaA cans every 2 weeks. And their bottles.

There were no BA stouts or barleywines. I'm trying to remember if they even had one for draught only (I think the answer is no.)

CASA is known for their Saisons and sours. Or was. So their membership has been 12 - 750mL BA sours for $300. (Which is equivalent of their 2021 12 - 500mL bottles for $200).

Generally there haven't been limits on the canned beers. The only exception I can think of was Vagabond Breakfast, which was 3 - 4packs pp.

Darn. I was looking at ordering a few things from them literally Sunday night and still saw the free shipping offer. Had I known it would be going away, I would have pulled the trigger.

Sucks that free shipping is gone but $10 flat rate shipping is still the best deal around. Most places are charging in the $12-$16 dollar range for half cases and $20-$25 for full cases. $10 is good for a small order and great for a large order.

Yes. What Stone head said. $10 for 12/16/24/48 cans is a deal. I think North Parks flat rate is $20. No complaints here. I think we all kinda knew the free shipping was going to end at some point.

That's honestly a steal for what they put out. Although I agree with David that they distro their ipas alot more frequently here in LA/OC so if you didn't want to pay that shipping, then you're just buying their sours and stouts. I've been very impressed by them and I'm leafing to a possible membership but maybe a split.

Do you happen to remember of have a list of which beers were club beers from last year? I can't seem to find that information anywhere...

CASA changed their website in the last year, so they scrapped info on all their beers that they used to host.

    2019
    Member Beer 1: Pino Negro
Member Beer 2: Oro del Sol
    Member Beer 3: Cherry Skies
    Member Beer 4: Nectarine Submarine
    Member Beer 5: Morning Doves
    Member Beer 6: BDX

    2020
    Member Beer 1: Unseen Dreams
Member Beer 2: Dark Allies (literally came out last week)
Member Beer 3: Left Bank (literally came out last week)

I mentioned this in a different thread entirely, but the CASA member beers tend to be blends vs. the public bottles, which are usually singular - a Saison or Golden Sour most of the time.

Casa has become 80% of my beer consumption. They hit every key style area and do them all well.
    - Their hazies are excellent. Last order all three were amazing (Murder of Souls, Edge of the World, Sunday Sun). This newest order again all 3 are great with the return of REM Cycle and Copper Wings as well as a delicious TIPA Signal in the Noise.
    - I’m not a huge west coast ipa fan but their westies that are very low bitterness I prefer.
    - Their lager game is super underrated. The Czech pilsner recently was amazing and I can’t wait to crack into the Czech dark lager from this last order.
    - Stout game also underrated. Tramping and trailing, creepy crawly, vagabond breakfast all excellent.
    - Saisons and Sours: what they are known for. Not my favorite styles but they do them so well I am enjoying them.

I ordered a shipment Wednesday and had beers by Friday afternoon. Was drinking a 2 day old IPA last night. 2020, what a time to be alive. Anyway, paying $200 for a membership with them was a no brainer. Them keeping my sanity during Covid was worth far more than $200 alone.

    Other way around. It's $20 for 12oz.

Oh and since you asked about CASA membership, this was supposed to be an outdoor tasting session (7 x 4oz pours of 4 CASA/Horus collabs, 3 Horus beers) and food from Smokey Jays for $60/ticket. But with the sudden Stay-at-Home order, that got cancelled :slight_frown:
