@Xline9 , what type of relationship do you guys have with Firestone Walker? I feel like I remember seeing pictures of your guys with them on Facebook.

A group of us Michigan guys did a blind stone fruit tasting a few months back that included their Strickalambic (sp?). Finished 3rd out 16 bottles, only behind Chez and fresh Fou. Rated higher than stuff like West Ashley, Bu's, older Fou, Wild Peach, Fantasia, etc. If it means anything, every guy at the tasting didn't hesitate to purchase a membership.

I'm sorry, but no one believes you. Things are looking too grim for this struggling brewery. How long have you even been here anyway? 2012? Get real.

Negative. I have one of those euro-style boy short swimsuits that I like to wear around the house...and in public.

I'd be in if this was similar to Libertine's Wild Registry, $200 on a relative unknown to me didn't take much thought. But $300 for 10 bottles spread over a year and a half? I'm struggling with the decision.

I think I've seen you at a beer fest. Wait... that could be 20% any given crowd.

Re: Firestone... Beard guy took a pic with David Walker, but I don't know of any "relationship". Beard guy was snapping Casa selfies with notable beer icons as part of the initial Instagram marketing effort IIRC.

At $30 a bottle I'll pass. My Bruery and SARA membership are enough for me.

Ya beard guy is the one that gave everyone a "bad taste" in their mouths about casa Agria. He's the one that is no longer with the brewery and they have parted ways.

The guys from FW BW have been extremely helpful and supportive of our start up. There is no formal relationship. Recently, they have helped us source used wine barrels.

Ugh, I've never received merch that was anywhere near the value that any brewery gave it. And probably never will.

And "end of the year" benefit? Several people have mentioned gambling in this thread. Basing paying for a membership on that is pure gambling.

OTOH I have no concern with trying someone's homebrew to make the decision, because the homebrewers I know who have moved up to commercial brewing didn't lose ANYTHING in the step up. The ones that made great beer continued to make great beer, and the ones who made ok or shitty beer continued to do so to the dismay of their investors.

And I don't care at all whether the beer is tenant brewed or not, as long as it's consistent (preferably in the same facility), brewed by the brewers themselves, and good, of course.

What's beard guy's story? What did he do to turn everyone off? And like the post said right above, it sounds like they've distances themselves from him, so good move, no?

IDK if they have distances themselves because on his instagram page @THE_WHALE_HUNTER ... he still has casaagria.com

I gotcha, misunderstood. Was just curious what he did that left a bad taste in everyone's mouth.

I got my membership Saturday and I'm glad I did. I have tried casa plenty of times and made my decision. I understand some haven't and are obviously skeptical..BUT...whats with all the hate and trying to figure out who the bearded guy is??
