Don't know if people know it but TRB doesn't brew on site either. They just ferment on site and barrel age.

I mean $300 for 10 bottles is ridiculous for the unproven brand/brewers. It just is.

But when you have 4 main partners, you got to mark up your product to cover that many investors. They will be fine because there is so much money in southern California and that market is not nearly saturated enough with beer societies.

Perhaps you'd also like a curriculum vitae, resume and a cover letter on why they deserve your business. Maybe they could post their business plan too, as it's wholly reasonable to request the minutiae of this business that's just getting off the ground.

Is it a common trait among Californians to be as whiny as many of you are?

Here's an idea -- don't buy their beer.

Good thread going here, a lot of valid points. I'm local and going to pass on this also. Price is steep, and the way CASA is starting things up just doesn't make me want to cough up $300. Not to mention the reputation was tainted on IG by some people that have/had their bottles. Why dont they just do BPT releases til a good amount of people have tasted their beers?

There's no such thing as bad publicity. Regardless of the content, they're loving this thread.

BPT bottle release is a brilliant idea! Do 1-3 of these to get the beer out there and generate buzz.

It's wholly reasonable for me to ask questions if they want $300 from me. If they answer, that's wholly up to them, just as it it's wholly up to me, whether to become a member to their club. Oh, and welcome to BA, I see you just joined today, and your comment to me was your very first post, I'm honored.

Sounds like they have $ for the barrels, foudres, fermenters or a brewhouse. Not both. They chose the former route and found a place to make wort for them. Same as Libertine or even FW Barrel Works for that matter. If they can take that wort and manipulate it into something awesome in barrels and be able to blend correctly and put into bottle more luck to them. To be honest any rube

This is not accurate. We have plans to buy our own brew system in phase 2 of our development. We are hopeful that will be in 2016. If you are local I would be happy to give you a tour of our space once construction is finished, you could meet our team and see our process, and if your willing to give a new brewery a shot maybe sample some beer! Cheers!

To answer your question I was not trying to get Cantillon for any bottles as the only bottles I've ever had I shared with friends this past Saturday.

Someone who Ryan did mention in his statement asked me to post a FT at one point but, I didn't list anything specific and it was reported and taken down. Probably not the best idea as it reflects on my account but I did not have the beer to trade it to begin with. Regardless of that, it was an error in judgement on my part for ever posting originally but what's done is done but Its not a reflection of Casa ownership now

I changed the word to condo not because of whatever homebrew trading was going on (I had no clue about whatever that was before today). I changed it because at the time nobody knew if there was a location, only that those involved had only ever been seen in the homebrew scene.

CASA I hope you guys succeed and I will definitely stop by the tasting room when it opens. I think it's a little premature to start out with a society before I can sample some beers. Even the stuff I could sample today is essentially home brew so I wouldn't trust it to reflect the future beers you make. I would love to buy some in the future and maybe I will join your club in the future. Good luck
