We stared getting them in MN about 4-wks ago, 5-6 different ones on the first drop, biggest drawback for me is the pricepoint @ $25-$30., They are moving very slow in the 1/2 dozen stores i visit, it is nice however to see them in distro in MN.

I might pull the trigger on a 30 dollar bottle of Cantillon if I saw it on a shelf, but not Cascade. 100% pass every time.

I've been a huge Cascade fan for a number of years, but lately haven't purchased with nearly the same frequency. The reason being is that the price point just got too high. While beers like Nouyax are super involved to make, other kettle sours like the Gose is hard to justify at their price point. Personally, I think Cascade is interested in expanding distribution because they are not selling like they used to in existing markets.

Wow, how lucky I am that I can buy a $30 bomber! Where's the line to pay the same price as 3 six packs of good craft beer for a single bottle!

Just to reiterate what the consensus seems to be... Almost every store in Austin has this sitting on the shelves collecting dust. I've personally never tried it and doubt I'll ever purchase a bottle at the retail price.

I think their beers are excellent, but yeah, they do sit due to the price point. I sure love when a friend decides to pick one up and split it with me though!

Well, the only Cantillon I bought here in town was $30, for a 12oz bottle, the $25-28/750 for cascade doesn't look so bad.:slight_frown:

I'd at least like the opportunity to pass on them from time to time in Upstate NY. I did pull the trigger on a 2013 Project of Sang Rouge that I have yet to drink. I think I'll hit that one up this weekend.

Sitting on shelves in CT. Noyaux and Sang Royal at $34 a pop.

Not apples to apples but could get 3 bottles of Cuvee Rene Kriek for 1 bottle of Cascade.

I wish they were in New Jersey. As far as the price goes....It wouldn't be something I'd splurge on all the time but I don't mind paying a little more for a solid bottle occasionally. A decent bottle of wine runs about that price and people pay that pretty regularly. Not that I'm trying to stoke that fire. Beer and wine and their perspective cultures are very different but sharing a nice $25 bottle with friends doesn't bother me....

Really good beer they make, Sang Noir is stellar, but they are very pricy.

They used to be readily available in California but not so much these days. Maybe The Bruery looks cheap by comparison...:grimacing:

They can hardly distribute efficiently up the I5 corridor, I don't know how well this will go over.

While Cascade beers are expensive, I have never been let down by one of their sours. Blackcap Raspberry and Sang Noir are two of my favorites.

$30 for a 12oz? Which one was it?

Last time Cantillon came through (this time last year), Gueuze 375's were $20 and Lou Pepe 750's were $30, at least from what I saw in the area.
