A "specialty beer store" in my town charged that for the Gueuze a couple years ago. Funny part was, I walked directly from that store to a local bar that sold me a 750 of the same beer, for the same price.

Fair enough, funny how times change.

That's what I don't get. That's what their bottles used to be in their distribution footprint as well, and then suddenly they all jumped by 50% or so. I was wondering if it was their distributor. The Cascade Barrel House is probably in my top 3 brewery/bars I've been to in the country, but rarely buy their bottles outside of the brewery because of the price now.

I'm still a fence sitter on sours so going halfsies with a friend works well for my tastes and pocket book

Same goes for Philly.... you can find them anywhere, all with dust on the bottles... same with the Eclipse 50/50 for the most part. Too acidic for my liking... especially hard to justify vs. Almanac bottles for $10

I've never seen them in eastern Washington, which is a hell of a lot closer to them than these territories they're expanding into.

I do love me some Cascade, but yes would pull the trigger on three Almanac bottles before buying 1 Cascade. IMHO they need to reduce the size of the bottle to sell better. My biggest concern is that most of these Cascade bottles sit on warm shelves, not ideal at all for a sour and if I don't know how long it's been there I won't buy it.

@westcoastbeergeek totally agree with picking up multiples of Almanac before dropping $30 regularly on Cascade.

Y'all are missing out. Some of the best sours in the world. Oh well, more for me. Not like I buy them frequently but it's nice to know I can count on them sitting on the shelf waiting for me whenever a special occasion arises and I feel like splurging.
