I searched the database on BA, and got no response from the website's e-mail so I will try my luck here. Does anyone know if they'll fill a growler of sour beer at either the barrel house or raccoon lodge? I'm dying to get my hands on some more honey ginger lime. Thanks for the help.

Nope. They do growlers but only occasionally on their sours. They have a sour raspberry wheat that they'll fill growlers of, but thats about it right now. I was there today, and that was the case.

Who knows though? Maybe a bartender would be willing to do so if in a good mood?

EDIT: This list gives a key of what they're selling in bottles versus growers. Unfortunately HGL is available in neither format. http://www.cascadebrewingbarrelhouse.com/index.php?p=beer

I believe that Honey Ginger Lime is cold-crashed in an attempt to prevent the yeast from fermenting all the sugars. That it is why it has such a delightful sweetness, but it means it needs to be kept cold and any small containers will eventually become bottle bombs if stored too long.

So I don't think you will ever see bottles or growlers of it since it just a lawsuit waiting to happen (all it takes is one person to forget it in their car and comeback to find glass shards everywhere).

    Probably this^^

That's a whole lot of knowledge that I didn't know, but I have heard multiple times from Cascade, that they can't bottle Honey Ginger Lime. It is DAMN good, for sure.

On the question of filling growlers of sours, I have a sneaking suspicion that growlers CAN and DO get filled with sours, but can you or I get one filled? Nope.

I know a few people that work there and they don't fill growlers with sours. Then again I'm not a vip....

It has way too many fermentable sugars. If a keg of that thing warmed up any over a lengthy period of time, I'd hate to see what would happen.
